2011–12 Professional Arena Soccer League Season
The 2011–12 Professional Arena Soccer League season was the fourth season for the American professional indoor soccer league, now using the nickname "PASL" instead of "PASL-Pro". The San Diego Sockers (2009), San Diego Sockers became the first team in league history to finish a season undefeated. The Sockers won their third straight PASL Championship and the first Ron Newman Cup trophy by defeating the Detroit Waza 10–7 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Del Mar Arena, home of the Sockers. Professional Arena Soccer League
The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) is a professional indoor soccer league in North America. The MASL features teams playing coast-to-coast in the United States and Mexico. The league is the highest level of arena soccer in North America. The league draws talent from a global talent pool with players from Major League Soccer (MLS), Liga MX, and many national teams. With a new management team, the league has grown in popularity and commercially. Former USMNT and MLS star Landon Donovan played in the MASL, as do multiple international players. Taylor Sportsplex
The Taylor Sportsplex is a sports facility owned by and located in the City of Taylor, Michigan. The indoor facility contains four arenas that host a variety of sporting events—especially ice hockey and soccer—and a variety of special events. Facilities The Taylor Sportsplex is a premiere sports facility owned by the City of Taylor, Michigan. It contains four arenas—two are used primarily for ice hockey and figure skating; the other two are used primarily for indoor soccer. The Belle Tire Hockey Program and Eastern Michigan University are the main hockey tenants. The facility also is used for trade shows, high school graduation ceremonies, mixed martial arts and major sporting events, such as the national roller hockey championships. FC Adrenaline is an American professional indoor soccer team, founded in 2007. The team played in the Premier Arena Soccer League from 2007–2010 as "Piasa FC". The club moved to the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) in 2010 as "Illinois Piasa" under head coach Jerry Lakin. They originally played their home matches at the Soccer for Fun Arena in Granite City, Illinois. From 2011 through 2013, Piasa played their home games at The Sports Academy in Glen Carbon, Illinois. In July 2013, the Piasa announced that they would play the 2013–14 PASL season at The Field Sports Complex in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. Elvir "Fufi" Kafedžić (born 19 December 1981) is a Bosnian-American association football, footballer. Youth and college soccer Kafedžić grew up in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the aftermath of the Bosnian War, before his family immigrated to Berlin, Germany in the early 1990s. In 1999, Kafedžić and his family moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended Affton High School for one year. Allen Eller
Allen Eller (December 11, 1976 – November 4, 2016) was an American soccer player who most recently played for the Cleveland Freeze in the PASL. Biography Eller attended the University of Akron, playing on the men's soccer team from 1995 to 1998. In 1999, Eller turned professional with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL A-League. In the fall, Eller moved indoors with the Cleveland Crunch of the National Professional Soccer League. In 2001, Eller did not play the outdoor season, but in February 2002, he signed with the Harrisburg Heat for the second Major Indoor Soccer League. He finished the season with the Heat. On January 31, 2003, the Heat traded Kyle Swords and Eller to the Baltimore Blast for Gino DiFlorio. The Blast won the 2003 and 2004 league titles. Brian Farber (born April 15, 1982, in Sandpoint, Idaho) is an American association football, soccer player who played as a midfielder for the San Diego Sockers (2009-2024), San Diego Sockers of the Major Arena Soccer League.
