2011–12 New Zealand Football Championship
The New Zealand Football Championship's 2011–12 season (known as the ASB Premiership for sponsorship reasons) will be the eighth season of the NZFC since its establishment in 2004. The home and away season will begin on 22 October 2011. Waitakere United and Auckland City will represent the ASB Premiership in the 2011–12 OFC Champions League after finishing Premiers and runners up respectively in the 2009–10 competition. New Zealand Football Championship
The New Zealand Football Championship () was a men's association football league at the top of the New Zealand league system. Founded in 2004, the New Zealand Football Championship was the successor to a myriad of short-lived football leagues in the country, including the National Soccer League, the National Summer Soccer League and the New Zealand Superclub League. The league was contested by ten teams in a franchise system. For sponsorship reasons, the competition was known as the ISPS Handa Men's Premiership. From the 2021 season, it was replaced by the New Zealand National League. The seasons used to run from October through to April, and consist of an eighteen-round regular season followed by a playoff series involving the four highest-placed teams, culminating in a Grand Final. Newtown Park
Newtown Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Wellington, New Zealand, owned and managed by Wellington City Council. It is used for football (soccer) matches in winter, and track and field athletics in summer. Newtown Park is the primary athletics stadium for the Wellington region. The city council grants priority to the Wellington United Football club for weekend bookings during the winter season, and priority to Athletics Wellington for weekend bookings during the summer season, and for weekdays outside of school hours.
