The 2011–12 Liga de Ascenso season is the second-level football league of Mexico. Changes for the 2011-2012 season * Alacranes de Durango finished last in the 2010-2011 season and went bankrupt after several financial problems. * Atlante UTN was renamed Toros Neza. * Veracruz were suspended after the Clausura 2011 season for not paying players. * Orizaba were moved to Veracruz and renamed Veracruz. * Tijuana won promotion to Liga MX. * Necaxa finished last place in the relegation table in Mexican Primera División and the team was relegated to Ascenso MX. * Celaya won promotion to Liga de Ascenso from Segunda División de México. * Mérida FC changed name to FC Mérida and updated logo. * Lobos de la BUAP changed logo. * Club Toros Neza changed name to Neza FC and updated logo. * Indios were suspended after the Apertura 2011 due to financial problems. Club Deportivo Cruz Azul Hidalgo, also known as Cruz Azul Hidalgo, was a professional football club in Mexico who last played in the Liga Premier league of Mexico. Their stadium was the Estadio 10 de Diciembre located in Ciudad Cooperativa Cruz Azul (previously the name of the town was Jasso) in Hidalgo and was the affiliate team of Cruz Azul. The team dissolved in 2014 after Zacatepec 1948 bought their spot to remain in Ascenso MX. But had a team in the Liga Premier de Ascenso, replace Cruz Azul Jasso. Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez
Estadio Olimpico Benito Juarez is a multi-purpose stadium in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, located just across the Rio Grande from El Paso, Texas. It is currently used mostly for soccer, football matches and concerts and is the home stadium of FC Juárez of the Liga MX. On May 12, 1981, the stadium was opened with a scoreless draw between the Mexico national football team and Atlético Madrid. Estadio Neza 86 is a football stadium in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, a commuter town located east of Mexico City in the State of Mexico. Nezahualcóyotl (), or more commonly Neza, is a city and municipal seat of the municipalities of Mexico, municipality of Nezahualcóyotl in Mexico. It is located in the List of states of Mexico, state of State of Mexico, Mexico, adjacent to the east side of Mexico City. The municipality comprises its own intrastate region, Region IX (Mexico State). Estadio Altamira is the current stadium for the team Estudiantes de Altamira, which plays in the Liga de Ascenso. The stadium, which seats 9,581 people, is located in the port city of Altamira in the state of Tamaulipas. History The idea of constructing Estadio Altamira (initially called ''Estadio Deportivo Sur de Tamaulipas''), was the initiative of the founder of the club, Enrique de Hita Yibale. Altamira is a municipality in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. It is located immediately to the north of the municipalities of Tampico and Ciudad Madero, at the southern tip of the state of Tamaulipas, on the Gulf of Mexico.
