2011–12 Football League (Greece)
The Football League is the second division of the professional football system of Greece. The 2011–12 Football League was held for the second year under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. The regular season began late, on 29 October, due to the Koriopolis scandal and the relegation of five teams for various offences. Promotion play-offs are scheduled to take place immediately afterwards,, Article 8 (Προβιβασμός – Υποβιβασμός ομάδας) while the relegation play-outs were abolished by decision of 8 December 2011. Teams A total of three teams gained promotion to the 2011–12 Super League after the 2010–11 Football League season. Football League (Greece)
The Football League () was the second highest professional football league in Greece since its inception in 1962 as ''Beta Ethniki'' and until 2019. It then served as a third tier after the creation of the Super League 2 as the new second tier and it was eventually abolished in 2021 when the 2021–22 Super League 2 went from a 12 team to a 36 team league, absorbing most of the clubs from the Football League. 2011–12 Super League Greece
The 2011–12 Super League Greece was the 76th season of the highest football league of Greece and the sixth under the name Super League. The season began in late August or early September 2011 and ended in May 2012 with the last matchday of the European play-off round. Olympiacos were the defending champions, having won their 38th Greek championship in the 2010–11 season. The league comprised 13 teams from the 2010–11 season and three promoted teams from the 2010–11 Football League. Teams AEL, Panserraikos, Iraklis, Olympiacos Volos and Kavala were relegated at the end of the 2010–11 season. Panachaiki G.E. (Greek: Παναχαϊκή Γυμναστική Ένωση, ''Panachaiki Gymnastiki Enosi'', "Pan- Achaean Gymnastic Union") is a Greek multi-sport club based in the city of Patras, Greece. The history of Panachaiki began in 1891, when Panachaikos Gymnastikos Syllogos (Pan-Achaean Gymnastic Club) was founded. In 1894, a rival sports club, Gymnastiki Eteria Patron (Gymnastic Company of Patras), was founded in Patras by former Panachaikos' members. Kavala (, ''Kavála'' ) is a city in northern Greece, the principal seaport of eastern Macedonia and the capital of Kavala regional unit. Levadiakos Football Club (officially romanized: ''Levadeiakos'' ) is a Greek professional football club that plays in the Super League Greece. Delta Ethniki
Delta Ethniki () was the fourth level of Greek football championship. During the period of its existence, it was the lowest national division of the Greek championship. It was founded in the 1982–83 season and abolished in the 2012–13 season, as it was merged with the third division (Football League 2). Its history therefore spans 31 years. Many historical clubs of first division (Super League) have played in Delta Ethniki, such as Iraklis (2011–12 season), Ethnikos Piraeus, Apollon Smyrnis and Atromitos.
