2011–12 FC Rostov Season
The 2011–12 Rostov season was the 3rd straight season that the club played in the Russian Premier League, the highest tier of football in Russia. They finished the season in 13th place, meaning they had to win a Relegation Playoff against Shinnik Yaroslavl, which they won 4–0 on aggregate. Rostov also competed in the 2010–11 & 2011–12 Russian Cup reaching the semi-finals in both. Rostov started the season with Oleh Protasov as manager, but he was sacked as manager on 13 May 2011, being replaced by Volodymyr Lyutyi in a caretaker capacity. Lyutyi himself was sacked as caretaker on 20 June 2011, being replaced by Andrei Talalayev, also as caretaker. On 1 July Sergei Balakhnin was appointed as Protasov's permanent successor, but was replaced as manager on 18 April 2012 by Anatoli Baidachny. FC Rostov
FC Rostov () is a Russian professionalism in association football, professional football club based in Rostov-on-Don. The club competes in the Russian Premier League, playing their home matches at the Rostov Arena. History Soviet era (1930-1991) The club was established on 10 May 1930, and was initially named Selmashstroy (Сельмашстрой). They were renamed Selmash in 1936 and Traktor in 1941. In 1950, the club joined the South Zone of the Azov-Don group of the Russian SFSR Championship. The following season they were placed in Group B of the championship. After finishing first in their group, they played in Group A in 1952. A third-place finish meant the club were promoted to the Soviet Second League, Class B for the Soviet Second League 1953, 1953 season, during which they were renamed again, becoming Torpedo. Russian Premier League
The Russian Premier League (RPL; , ''Rossiyskaya premyer-liga''; РПЛ), also written as Russian Premier Liga, is a professional association football league in Russia and the highest level of the Russian football league system. It was established at the end of 2001 as the Russian Football Premier League (RFPL; ; РФПЛ) and was rebranded with its current name in 2018. From 1992 through 2001, the top level of the Russian league system was the Russian Football Championship (, ''Chempionat Rossii po Futbolu''). There are 16 teams in the competition. As of the 2021/22 season, the league had two Champions League qualifying spots for the league winners and league runners-up, and two spots in the UEFA Conference League were allocated to the third- and fourth-placed teams. FC Moscow (Russian: Футбольный клуб Москва) was a Russian football (soccer), football club based in Moscow. History The creation of the team was first announced by the Moscow government on 1 March 2004. FC Moscow was formed on the base of FC Torpedo-Metallurg. Isaac Okoronkwo
Isaac Okoronkwo (born 1 May 1978) is a Nigerian former professional football player who played as a defender. Career Okoronkwo started his career at FC Lagos before moving to the Nigerian club Julius Berger. His first club outside Nigeria was a six-month spell at Al-Rayyan in Qatar, but the club could not afford to keep him beyond this period and he returned home to Iwuanyanwu Nationale. He spent one season there before again heading abroad with Moldovan club Sheriff Tiraspol for two seasons. In the summer of 2000, he signed for Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine. With Shakhtar he played in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup, and won the Ukrainian Cup in 2001 and the league title in 2002. Kornel Saláta
Kornel Šaláta (; ; born 24 January 1985) is a Slovak professional football who plays as a centre-back for MSO Štúrovo. Club career Saláta made his Corgoň Liga debut in the 2005–06 season for Matador Púchov. After season Púchov relegated to the Slovak First League and Saláta signed for Artmedia Petržalka. There he won the Corgoň Liga and the Slovak Cup in the 2007–08 season. In summer 2009, he moved to Slovan Bratislava, playing first match in the 2009 Slovak Super Cup. Sergei Aleksandrovich Pesyakov (; born 16 December 1988) is a Russian football goalkeeper who plays for Krylia Sovetov Samara. Career Club Pesyakov made his professional debut for Spartak Moscow on 13 July 2010 in the Russian Cup game against FC Metallurg Lipetsk. PFC Spartak Nalchik () is a Russian association football club based in Nalchik that plays in the fourth-tier Russian Second League Division B. They played in the Russian Premier League between 2006 and 2012. History FC Spartak Nalchik was founded in 1935 and played in the regional "B-class" tournament. Dejan Radić (footballer)
Dejan Radić (; born 8 July 1980) is a Serbian retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career From 1999 to 2003, Radić played for Rad in the First League of Serbia and Montenegro, before the club suffered relegation to the Second League. He later moved abroad to Russia and joined Alania Vladikavkaz in early 2004. In his two seasons at the club, Radić made 38 league appearances in the top flight, before the side got relegated at the end of the 2005 season.
