2011–12 Croatian Second Football League
The 2011–12 Druga HNL (also known as 2. HNL) was the 21st season of Croatia's second level football competition since its establishment in 1992. HNK Gorica were league champions and earned a place in Croatia's first division, which was later denied after getting their top level license revoked. Second placed NK Lučko were the only promoted team at the end of the previous season. The competition started on 19 August 2011 and ended on 20 May 2012. Format The league was contested by 15 teams (one less than in the previous season). Only Lučko were granted top level license, Gorica's license was revoked after appeal from Istra 1961. Third placed Pomorac unsuccessfully tried to obtain it through arbitration. Only two teams from Treća HNL were granted license for competing in the Druga HNL, but only Radnik Sesvete was promoted as Segesta didn't finish the season within top five places. Druga HNL
The Prva nogometna liga (), commonly Prva NL or 1. NL, is the second tier of the football league system in Croatia. The league was formed in 1991 with the breakup of Yugoslavia and the dissolution of the Yugoslav Second League. The 1. Stadion Hrvatski Vitezovi
Stadion Hrvatski vitezovi ( English: ''Croatian Knights Stadium'') is a football stadium in Dugopolje, near the city of Split in southern Croatia. The stadium has a capacity of 5,200 and is home to the second-level side NK Dugopolje. The stadium was officially opened on 22 July 2009, with a friendly game between Dugopolje and Hajduk Split. The stadium's construction cost was 55 million kuna and is part of a larger sports complex which includes club's administration buildings, several swimming pools and tennis courts. In June 2009 the stadium was visited by UEFA's stadium licensing inspection which gave it high marks, and approved the stadium to be used for European matches. Dugopolje is a village and a municipality in Croatia in the Split-Dalmatia County. Name The name ''Dugopolje'' literally translates as 'long field'. NK HAŠK 1903 Zagreb is a Croatian football club from Zagreb that currently competes in the Third Football League – Center (3. NL – Centar). NK Vinogradar () was a Croatian football club based in the village of Lokošin Dol, part of the town of Jastrebarsko. The club merged with NK Jaska in 2021 after the death of Ivan Rubinić, the former owner who helped the club become well known as a well-run amateur team in the 2000s and 2010s with a number of cup runs. NK Pomorac
NK Pomorac 1921 is a Croatian football club based in Kostrena, a suburb of Rijeka which currently plays in Croatian third tier 3. HNL West. Kostrena is known for its maritime tradition, which is reflected in the club's name, as the word " pomorac" means "mariner" or "seaman" in English. NK Mosor
NK Mosor, also known as HBDNK "Mosor – Sveti Jure", was a Croatian football club from Žrnovnica, settlement which is part of the city of Split on the Croatian coast. The club was founded in 1929. It existed until World War II when most of its members enlisted in the army. When the war ended, the club had experienced such a high rate of fatalities that it was disbanded. Nogometni Klub Junak Sinj (''Football Club Junak Sinj''), commonly referred to as Junak Sinj or just Junak, is a professional Croatian football club based in the town of Sinj, in the southern Croatian region of Dalmatia.
