2011 Open De La Réunion
The 2011 Open de la Réunion was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the first edition of the tournament which was part of the 2011 ATP Challenger Tour. It took place in Réunion and was originally scheduled to last between 24 and 30 January 2011. The tournament has not been finished, as all singles quarterfinal and doubles semifinal matches has been cancelled by the supervisor, due to heavy rain and flooding. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a type of surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. The ball tends to bounce high and players are able to apply many types of spin during play. Yuri Schukin
Yuri Schukin (; born 26 June 1979) is a retired Russian-born Kazakhstani tennis player. Schukin has a career high ATP singles ranking of World No. 119, achieved on 19 November 2007. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of World No. 117, achieved on 16 October 2000. Career Schukin made his ATP Tour singles debut at the 2001 Australian Open where he battled through the qualifying rounds to earn a spot in the main draw. In qualifying, he defeated Neville Godwin ''4–6, 6–1, 6–4'', Eric Taino ''7–5, 6–1'' and lastly Robin Vik ''0–6, 7–6(7–4), 8–6'' to solidify the first main draw appearance of his career.
