2011 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Team
The 2011 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team represented the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cornhuskers were coached by Bo Pelini and played their home games at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. This season was Nebraska's first in the Big Ten Conference in the Legends Division as they moved from the Big 12 Conference to the Big Ten following the conclusion of the 2010 season. They finished the season 9–4, 5–3 in Big Ten play to finish in third place in the Legends Division. They were invited to the Capital One Bowl where they were defeated by South Carolina 30–13. Bo Pelini
Mark Anthony "Bo" Pelini (born December 13, 1967) is a former American football coach and former player. He was most recently the defensive coordinator for the LSU Tigers football, Louisiana State University Tigers football team. He is the younger brother of former Florida Atlantic Owls football, Florida Atlantic head coach Carl Pelini, who has frequently worked under Bo as an assistant coach. Pelini served as head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football, Nebraska Cornhuskers from December 2007 until November 2014 and later served as head coach of the Youngstown State University football team from 2015 through 2019. Prior to leading the football program at Nebraska, he was the defensive coordinator for the LSU Tigers football, LSU Tigers, Oklahoma Sooners football, Oklahoma Sooners, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Bubba Starling
Derek "Bubba" Starling (born August 3, 1992) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He spent his entire career in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Kansas City Royals organization. Amateur career Starling graduated in 2011 from Gardner Edgerton High School in Gardner, Kansas. Alief Taylor High School is a public high school in the Alief Independent School District. It is located in an unincorporated area in the Alief community of Harris County, near Houston, Texas, United States. Opened in 2001, Alief Taylor is the newest high school in the district.
