2010–11 Toronto Maple Leafs Season
The 2010–11 Toronto Maple Leafs season was the 94th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on November 22, 1917, and its 84th season since adopting the Maple Leafs name in February 1927. The Maple Leafs posted a regular season record of 37 wins, 34 losses and 11 overtime/shootout losses for 85 points, failing to qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs for the sixth consecutive season. Draft The Maple Leafs did not have a first round selection in the 2010 NHL entry draft, having traded it to the Boston Bruins in the Phil Kessel deal. The selection ended up being the second overall pick, which the Bruins used to select Tyler Seguin. The Eastern Conference () is one of two conferences in the National Hockey League (NHL) used to divide teams. Its counterpart is the Western Conference (NHL), Western Conference. History Originally named the Prince of Wales Conference (or Wales Conference for short), it was created in 1974–75 NHL season, 1974 when the NHL realigned its teams into two conferences and four divisions. Because the new conferences and divisions had little to do with North American geography, geographical references were removed. Petter Granberg
Petter Jonas Granberg (born 27 August 1992) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing with Växjö Lakers in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Granberg was drafted 116th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career On 13 April 2014, Granberg made his NHL debut skating for the Toronto Maple Leafs during a 1–0 loss to the Ottawa Senators. Prior to the 2015–16 season, Granberg suffered an off-season injury, requiring surgery for a torn achilles. Sondre Olden
Sondre Olden (born August 29, 1992) is a Norwegian professional ice hockey player who is currently playing in the Swiss League. He previously played with Vålerenga of the Norwegian Eliteserien. He was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 3rd round (79th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He has played for the Norwegian national team in several World Championships, as well as at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Greg McKegg
Greg McKegg (born June 17, 1992) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who is currently a free agent. McKegg was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the third round (62nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He notably wore number 69 in the preseason for the Maple Leafs. McKegg also became a fan favorite with the Rangers in both stints with the team. McKegg's great uncle was former NHL defenceman Lou Fontinato. The Portland Winterhawks are a junior ice hockey team based in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1950 as the Edmonton Oil Kings, the team relocated to Portland in 1976 and was known as the Winter Hawks until 2009. Jimmy Hayes (ice Hockey)
James Ryan Hayes (November 21, 1989 – August 23, 2021) was an American professional ice hockey right winger. Nicknamed "Broadway", he was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round, 60th overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Chicago Blackhawks, Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins, and the New Jersey Devils. His younger brother Kevin Hayes is also a professional ice hockey player. Tyler Seguin
Tyler Paul Seguin ( ; born January 31, 1992) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre and alternate captain for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL). Growing up in Whitby, Ontario, Seguin began playing hockey in a house league at the age of five or six.
