The 2010–11 Petron Blaze Boosters season was the 36th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The team was known as the San Miguel Beermen for the duration of the Philippine and Commissioner's Cups. Key dates *August 29, 2010: The 2010 PBA Draft took place in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. *March 2011: San Miguel Corporation (SMC) announced that the franchise shall be playing under the name Petron Blaze Boosters, beginning the 2011 PBA Governors Cup. Pido Jarencio
Alfredo Lorenzo "Pido" Mendoza Jarencio (born September 5, 1964) is a Filipino basketball coach and former professional player. He is the head coach for the UST Growling Tigers of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). He had coached UST previously from 2006 to 2013; he won the UAAP title in his first season and was named UAAP Coach of the Year. He is also the team manager for NorthPort Batang Pier of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and was their head coach on two stints. He played college basketball for the UST Growling Tigers and played in the PBA from 1986 to 2001. Known as "the Fireman", he distinguished himself as one of the league's best three-point shooters, especially in clutch situations. Sunday Salvacion
Sunday Salvacion (born December 17, 1978) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He played the small forward and shooting guard positions. Salvacion played college basketball for the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Blazers before spending twelve years in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Salvacion also played in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) and the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Career Known as a scorer during his college days, Salvacion, who was a former NCAA Most Valuable Player has evolved into a solid defender and a clutch shooter that placed him in the regular rotation of the Barangay Ginebra Kings. The 2013 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft was an event, which allows teams to draft players from the amateur ranks. The event was held at Midtown Atrium, Robinson Place Manila on November 3, 2013. Draft lottery The lottery determined the team that will obtain the first pick on the draft. The remaining first-round picks and the second-round picks were assigned to teams in reverse order of their cumulative final rankings in the previous season with heavier weight from the results of the Philippine Cup. Jonas Victolero Villanueva (born March 31, 1983) is a Filipino former professional basketball player and coach. Villanueva played 12 seasons in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He also coached the Bataan Risers of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Barako Bull Energy
The Barako Bull Energy were a Philippine Basketball Association that began in 2002 as the FedEx Express. From its first season until 2005, the team was dubbed as the FedEx Express before changing to Air21 Express. From the 2009 PBA Fiesta Conference until the 2009–10 PBA Philippine Cup, it became known as the Burger King Titans.
