The 2010-11 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto was the 48th edition of the Spanish premier women's basketball championship. It took place from 10 October 2010 to 28 April 2011. Fourteen teams took part in the championship, with UNB Obenasa Lacturale and Extrugasa replacing relegated teams CB Estudiantes and Real Canoe. Perfumerías Avenida won its second title, ending Ros Casares Valencia' four-year winning streak. The Salmantine team also won the Euroleague. Mann Filter Zaragoza and Copa de la Reina champion Rivas Ecópolis also qualified for the play-offs, while Unión Navarra and CB Olesa were relegated. Liga Femenina De Baloncesto
The Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, also known as Liga Femenina Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level of sports league, league competition for women's basketball in Spain. It is the women's equivalent of the men's Liga ACB and is run by the Spanish Basketball Federation. The league was founded in 1964 and is played under FIBA rules. Throughout its history 13 clubs have been champions; CB Godella-Pool Getafe (with both names), Ros Casares Godella, Ros Casares and CB Avenida, Perfumerías Avenida have won the most championships, with eight. Club Deportivo Bosco–Real Club Celta de Vigo Baloncesto is a Spanish women's basketball club from Vigo related to football club Celta de Vigo, that currently plays in the Liga Femenina (Spain's first division for women's basketball). Club de Baloncesto Islas Canarias, better known for sponsorship reasons as SPAR Gran Canaria, is a Spanish women's basketball team from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Founded in 1980, it has played in the Spanish Women's League since 1983. 1998-99 was Islas Canarias' most successful season to date with the club winning the Ronchetti Cup, the national Cup and being the national championship's runner-up. Club Bàsquet Puig d'en Valls, popularly known as Bàsquet PDV and also known as Palacio de Congresos de Ibiza for sponsorship reasons, is a Spanish women's basketball club from Santa Eulària des Riu, Ibiza.
