2010–11 Lebanese Basketball League
The 2010–2011 season was the 15th edition of the Lebanese Basketball League. The regular season began on Thursday, October 28, 2010 and ended on Wednesday April 13, 2012. The playoffs began on Sunday, April 17 and ended with the 2011 Finals on Sunday May 8, 2011, after Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, Riyadi Beirut defeated Champville SC in 3 games to win their eight title (new format). Teams Preseason Supercup Champville SC, winners of the Lebanese Basketball Cup defeated Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, Riyadi Beirut, winners of the Lebanese Basketball League 2009–2010 to win The SuperCup. Lebanese Basketball League
The Lebanese Basketball League is recognized as the top-tier professional men's basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Lebanon. It is organized annually as a national championship with playoffs and a national cup by the Lebanese Basketball Federation (FLB). Currently, the league consists of #Teams, 12 teams, of which six are located in Beirut. The most successful club in the history of the league is Al Riyadi Club Beirut. History The initial Lebanese basketball league was formed in as early as the 1950s; however, it was stopped during the Lebanese Civil War. In 1992, the league was reformed into its current fully professional format. In 1998, Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, Sporting Club (Al Riyadi) finished third in the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, that same year Beirut hosted the Arab Club Basketball Championship, Arab Club Championship where Hekmeh BC , Sagesse Club (Hekmeh) won, it was the first ever Arab basketball trophy for Lebanon.
