George Becali
George "Gigi" Becali (; born 25 June 1958) is a Romanian businessman, writer, politician and former convict, mostly known for his ownership of the FCSB football club. Becali was a Member of the European Parliament between June 2009 and December 2012, and a Parliament of Romania, Member of the Romanian Parliament from December 2012 up until his conviction in May 2013. Clubul Sportiv Gaz Metan Mediaș (), commonly known as Gaz Metan Mediaș or simply as Gaz Metan, was a Romanian professional football club based in Mediaș, Sibiu County. Founded in 1945 as ''Karres Mediaș'', the team spent most of its existence in the second division. It also participated in 16 seasons of the Liga I, the highest level of the Romanian league system, and lost a Cupa României final to CCA București in 1951. Florin Gardoș
Florin Gardoș (; born 29 October 1988) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a centre back. Early life Gardoș was born in the city of Satu Mare in Romania. Pablo Brandán
Pablo Daniel Brandán (; born 5 March 1983) is an Argentine former footballer and manager. Career Brandán was born in Merlo. He won the 2008–09 Liga I edition with Unirea Urziceni, under the coaching of Dan Petrescu. In the same season he was selected the Liga I left back of the year. Valentin Iliev Ivanov (; born 11 August 1980) is a Bulgarian football manager and former professional player. Personal life Iliev's father, Iliya Valov, was goalkeeper for CSKA and Bulgaria's national team. Ifeanyi Innocenti Emeghara (born 24 March 1984) is a Nigerian former professional footballer who played as a defender. He was deployed equally on the left and the right flank. 2009–10 Liga I
The 2009–10 Liga I was the ninety-second season of Liga I, the top-level football league of Romania. Unirea Urziceni were the defending champions. Teams Farul Constanța, Otopeni and Gloria Buzău were relegated at the end of the 2008–09 season. They were joined by Argeș Pitești, who were demoted upon a decision of the Professional Football League on 8 July 2009, after their owner, Cornel Penescu, was found guilty of corruption. As a consequence, 15th-placed Gaz Metan Mediaș were spared relegation. The four relegated teams were replaced by the champions and runners-up from both 2008–09 Liga II divisions. The 2009–10 UEFA Europa League was the first season of the UEFA Europa League, Europe's secondary club football tournament organised by UEFA.
