2010–11 Bulgarian Cup
The 2010–11 Bulgarian Cup was the 29th official season of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began in September 2010 with the matches of the preliminary round and ended the final in May 2011. Beroe Stara Zagora are the defending champions. The winners of the competition will qualify for the play-off round of the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League. PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad was a Bulgarian professional association football, football club based in Blagoevgrad. History Makedonska slava Club was founded in 1928 as Makedonska Slava (). In 1948, the club joined the newly established FD Julius Dermendzhiev and ceased its independent existence. In 2000 Makedonska Slava was restored after unification with Granit Stara Kresna. FC Chavdar Etropole
FC Etropole () is a Bulgarian football club based in Etropole, Sofia Province. Founded in 1922, they compete in the A Regional League - Sofia, the forth tier of Bulgarian football. They play their home games at the Chavdar Stadium, which now boasts a capacity of 5,600. Their home colours are red and white. Chavdar have spent the majority of their playing history between the third and fourth tiers of the Bulgarian football league system. They achieved promotion to the second tier in 2007 following a win against Botev Vratsa in the play-off. FC Septemvri () is a Bulgarian football club based in Simitli, which currently plays in the Third League, the third tier of the Bulgarian football league system. History The club was founded in 1942. From 1961 to 1975, it was called "Pirin miner". The players at that time were mostly young boys from the age of 18 to 20, with the exception of goalkeeper Dimitar Atanasovski (former player from Belasitsa). Botev () is a Bulgarian professional football club based in Vratsa, that competes in the First League, the top division of Bulgarian football. The club was founded in 1921. Professional Football Club Etar 1924 (), commonly referred to as Etar 1924 Veliko Tarnovo, is a former Bulgarian professional football club based in Veliko Tarnovo. They were last competing in the 2012–13 season of the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the top tier of professional football in Bulgaria. The club replaced the old FC Etar (Veliko Tarnovo), which won the Bulgarian championship in 1991. The club's home ground had been Ivaylo Stadium since 1958, and their main nicknames were the Bolyars and the Violets, the latter in reference to the colour of their home kit, which was often mistaken for purple. OFC Vihren () is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Sandanski, currently playing in the Second League. Sandanski's home ground is the Sandanski Stadium in Sandanski with a capacity of 6,000. Vihren Sandanski's team colours are green and white. Vihren was founded in 1925, changing its name several times during its early existence. Up until the early 2000s, Vihren played mostly in either the second or third tiers of Bulgarian football. Akademik Sofia () was a Bulgarian football club from Sofia, which last played in the B Group, before dissolving in 2012. The team's stadium is located in the Slatina municipality of Sofia and its capacity is 10,000. Akademik was founded in 1947 by students from the Sofia University and debuted in A PFG in 1949. The team would quickly establish itself as a top flight team in Bulgarian football in the next decades. FC Kaliakra Kavarna () is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Kavarna, which currently competes in the A RFG Dobrich, the fourth tier of Bulgarian football. Founded in 1922 as Kaliakra Sport Club, the club spent most of its history in amateur football before making a rapid ascent to the second-flight of Bulgarian football in 1980.
