The 2010 Longines Royal International Horse Show was that year's edition of the Royal International Horse Show, the British official show jumping competition at All England Jumping Course at Hickstead. Royal International Horse Show
The Royal International Horse Show (originally the International Horse Show) is the official horse show of the British Horse Society and consists of both showing and showjumping events. The event is held during July each year at the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead. The event is currently title sponsored by Longines, making it the Longines Royal International Horse Show. The show is the oldest horse show in Britain, having started in 1907. History The first Royal International Horse Show was held at London Olympia in 1907, hosted by the Institute of the Horse and Pony Club, which would later become the British Horse Society. It was discontinued during the First World War but revived after it. No show took place in 1933, but a new committee headed by the young 10th Duke of Beaufort re-established the event at Olympia in 1934. Dermott Lennon (born 12 June 1969) is an equestrian from Ballinaskeagh, Northern Ireland, who competes in the sport of show jumping. At the end of December 2011, he was ranked 106th – Ireland's no. 6. Show jumping career 1999–2000 Dermott Lennon riding the Irish Sport Horse mare, Liscalgot, were part of Irish teams that won a record ten FEI Nations Cups from 1999 to 2000. 2001 Lennon was part of the Irish team that won their first European Championship title at the European Show Jumping Championships in Arnhem riding Liscalgot. 2002 Lennon followed up by winning the Individual gold medal in the 2002 Show Jumping World Championships riding Liscalgot.
