Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS)
Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Vancouver. They compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The MLS iteration of the club was established on March 18, 2009, and began play in 2011 as the 17th team to enter Major League Soccer while replacing the USSF Division 2 team of the same name in the city, making them a phoenix club and the third to carry the Whitecaps name. The club has been owned and managed by the same group since their USSF days. In the 2012 season, the team became the first Canadian team to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs. Adam John William Moffat (born 15 May 1986) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder and spent the majority of his career playing in the various professional leagues in the United States. Peter Lowry
Peter Lowry (born October 2, 1985 in Missoula, Montana) is a former American soccer player. He is current an assistant coach of Lipscomb Bisons men soccer team. Career College and amateur Lowry grew up in Fair Oaks, California. He played club soccer for Irvine Strikers under head coach Don Ebert. Lowry played college soccer at Santa Clara University from 2004 to 2007, and played in the USL Premier Development League for Ajax Orlando Prospects, Boulder Rapids Reserve and San Jose Frogs. Professional Lowry was drafted in the second round (26th overall) of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft by Chicago Fire. Robert Findley (born August 4, 1985) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a forward. He was capped 11 times by the United States national team, having made his international debut in 2007. Findley played college soccer for the Oregon State Beavers and amateur soccer for the Boulder Rapids Reserve before turning professional in 2007. Alan Gordon (born October 16, 1981) is an American former professional soccer player. In the majority of his career, Gordon was mostly relied upon to make goals in games being substituted on the field. David Horst (born October 25, 1985) is a former American soccer player who last played for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. Career College and amateur Horst played college soccer at Old Dominion University, and in the USL Premier Development League with Reading Rage, Virginia Beach Submariners and the Hampton Roads Piranhas.
