2009–10 Sheffield Shield Season
The 2009–10 Sheffield Shield season is the 108th season of official first-class cricket, first-class domestic cricket in Australia. The season began on 13 October 2009. The Victorian Bushrangers were the winners of the competition, defeating the Queensland Bulls by 459 runs in the final held from 17 to 21 March 2010 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground Table The top two teams after each round is played will compete for the Sheffield Shield final. The match will be contested at the home ground of the side that finishes first. In the result of a draw, the team that finished on top of the ladder, and hence hosting the match will be awarded the title. Adelaide Oval
The Adelaide Oval is a stadium in Adelaide in the state of South Australia. It is located in the Adelaide Parklands, parklands. The venue is predominantly used for cricket and Australian rules football, but has also played host to rugby league, rugby union, soccer, and tennis, as well as regularly being used to hold concerts. Established in 1871, the structures and grounds underwent significant redevelopment between 2012 and 2014. George Bailey (cricketer, Born 1982)
George John Bailey (born 7 September 1982) is a former Australian cricketer, who played all formats for the Australia national cricket team, national team and Captain (cricket), captained the team in Limited overs cricket, limited-over formats. Domestically, Bailey played for the Tasmania cricket team, Tasmanian cricket team in all three domestic state competitions (the Sheffield Shield, Australian domestic limited-overs cricket tournament, One-Day Cup and KFC Twenty20 Big Bash) as well as the Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars in the Twenty20 Big Bash's successor, the Big Bash League, KFC Big Bash League. Jason Krejza
Jason John Krejza (born 14 January 1983) is a former Australian cricketer. He played for the Tasmanian Tigers and Leicestershire. Krejza's father was an association football player from Czechoslovakia and his mother was born in Poland. His nickname is "Krazy". 2004–2008: Early domestic career Krejza is an all-rounder, contributing to the team mainly as a right arm off-break bowler, but also as a right-handed lower-middle order batsman. James Smith (South Australia Cricketer)
James David Smith (born 11 October 1988) is an Australian former cricketer. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm off break bowler, he played first-class cricket for South Australia between 2007 and 2012. He scored a century against Tasmania in late 2009, but did not repeat the feat again at state level. He was released by South Australia at the end of the 2012–13 season. Brady Jones
Brady Jones (born 16 September 1988) is an Australian cricketer who played for Tasmania. Jones played 17 first class matches, but at the end of the 2011–12 season, his contract with Cricket Tasmania was not renewed. Jones subsequently joined Clarence Football Club and played in the Tasmanian Football League. He was selected for the TFL representative side to play the VFL, becoming the first person to represent Tasmania in both football and cricket in the same year. Marcus James North (born 28 July 1979) is a former Australian first-class cricketer who played 21 Test matches and two One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the Australian national side. Born in Melbourne, North grew up in Western Australia, attending Kent Street Senior High School as part of their Specialist Cricket Program, and was a successful junior cricketer, entering the Australian Cricket Academy and playing under-19 cricket for Australia. WACA Ground
The WACA Ground () is a sports stadium in Perth, Western Australia. The stadium's name derives from the initials of its owners and operators, the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA). Western Warriors
The Western Australian men's cricket team, formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors, represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket. Cameron Leon White (born 18 August 1983) is an Australian former Australia national cricket team, international cricketer who captained the national side in Twenty20 Internationals. Daniel Marsh
Daniel James Marsh (born 14 June 1973) is a former Australian cricketer who captained the Tasmanian Tigers. The son of former late Australian keeper Rod Marsh, he was a right-handed batsman and a handy slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He played for South Australia early on in his career and played County Cricket for Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
