2009–10 Macedonian First Football League
The 2009–10 Macedonian First League was the 18th season of the Macedonian First Football League, the highest football league of Macedonia. It began on 1 August 2009 and ended on 19 May 2010. Makedonija G.P. were the defending champions having won their first Macedonian championship last season. Promotion and relegation 1 Makedonija G.P. and Sloga Jugomagnat were expelled from the First League due to boycotting two matches in the season. However, Napredok was directly promoted.2 Pobeda was expelled from the First League due to the eight-year suspension from FIFA for their involvement in match-fixing scandal. KF Renova
KF Renova () is a football club based in the village of Džepčište, Tetovo Municipality, North Macedonia. They currently competing in the Macedonian Third League (West Division). History FK Renova was founded in 2003 but was derived from the football school established in 2000. As a result of successful work in 2003, the people from Džepčište began to invest in this school of football. Since then, the football school was named Renova, after the Džepčište based manufacturing company, which invested the most to the club. Renova then merged with the Tetovo club FK Shkumbini and was initiated into the Macedonian Third League. In the club's first season, they came first in the league. To achieve promotion into the second league, Renova had to beat Vardar from Negotino. Renova won the game via penalty shootout. 2009 European Football Betting Scandal
The 2009 European football betting scandal was an attempt to influence the outcome of professional association football matches in Europe, and to defraud the gambling industry by betting on the results. The investigation centres on around 200 fixtures, including domestic league games in nine European countries: Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey, Hungary, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Austria. FK Bregalnica Štip () is a professional association football, football club based in Štip, North Macedonia. They are currently competing in the Macedonian Second Football League. History FK Bregalnica was formed in 1921 and currently play in the Macedonian First League.
