2008–09 Ligakupa
The 2008–09 Ligakupa was the second edition of the Hungarian League Cup, the Ligakupa. The first matches were played on 1 October 2008 and the final was held on 13 May 2009 at the Révész Street Stadium in Siófok. Fehérvár won a second consecutive title, defeating a second division team, Pécs 3–1 in the final. Format Participating teams were from the Nemzeti Bajnokság I and 8 from the Nemzeti Bajnokság II The NB II, currently known as the Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of Hungarian football. Zalaegerszegi Torna Egylet Football Club (), commonly known as Zalaegerszegi TE, Zalaegerszeg or ZTE, is a Hungary, Hungarian professional association football, football club based in Zalaegerszeg. Zalaegerszeg has won one Hungarian League title in 2001–02 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, 2002 and one Magyar Kupa title in 2023. History ZTE traces its roots back to 1912, at the time of the Austria-Hungary, Austro-Hungarian Empire. Its first match was a 4–2 defeat to a team from Vasvár. The team was first composed of members of a literary and debating society. ZTE flourished under coach József Vadász, but World War I halted its progress. In 1920, Zalaegerszegi TE, or "Gymanistics Club of Zalaegerszeg," was born. Széktói Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Kecskemét, Hungary. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football and Rugby football, rugby matches, and is the home stadium of Kecskeméti TE of the Hungarian National Championship I and of Kecskeméti Atlétika és Rugby Club of the Nemzeti Bajnokság I (Rugby union), Nemzeti Bajnokság I. With 4,300 seats, and standing room for 2,000, the stadium is able to hold 6,300 spectators. History The stadium was built in 1962, with the help of several locals. Ádám Bódi (; born 18 October 1990) is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays for Kazincbarcikai SC. Club career Debrecen Bódi won the 2009–10 season of the Hungarian League with Debrecen despite his team lost to Kecskeméti TE in the last round.
