2009–10 Bangladesh League
The 2009–10 Citycell Bangladesh League started on 25 October 2009. 13 teams will compete with each other on a home and away basis. The third edition of Bangladeshi football in the professional era was renamed from B League to Bangladesh League in order to combat suggestions that it is a second-tier league. Bangladesh Premier League (football)
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), officially known as TVS Bangladesh Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is a top tier of Bangladeshi professional football league pyramid. It is run directly by the professional football league committee of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). Dhaka Derby is one of the most popular matches in the league. The league is the successor of Dhaka Premier Division League, which existed from 1948 to 2006. History Founded in 2007, the league was previously known as the B League. Alfaz Ahmed
Alfaz Ahmed ( bn, আলফাজ আহমদ; born: 7 July 1973) is a retired Bangladeshi footballer who played for the Bangladesh national football team from 1995 to 2008. He is seen as one of the best strikers to ever play for Bangladesh. He won three international trophies while playing for his country. Alfaz also scored the winning goal of the 1999 South Asian Games final, against Nepal. He played for Bangladesh 13 years, scoring 11 goals along the way. Alfaz also has 109 domestic league goals, including numerous goals in AFC club competitions. Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Dhaka, founded in 1936 at Dhaka, is one of the oldest and one of the most popular football clubs in Bangladesh, with a support base in all parts of the country. The club currently plays in the Bangladesh Premier League. History The clubs journey began in Hazaribagh. Members of the famed Nawab family of Dhaka wanted to establish a local club for the youth. As a result, Muslim Sports Club came into being in 1927. Nine years later, with Khwaja M. Zahid Hasan Ameli ( bn, জাহিদ হাসান এমিলি; born 25 December 1987) is a Bangladeshi footballer who plays as a striker for Brothers Union and the Bangladesh national team. He is the current second top scorer of the Bangladesh national football team and also has the third highest caps. Club career From 2007 to 2009, Ameli played for Dhaka side Abahani Limited where he scored a total of 25 league goals, helping the club win back-to-back B. League titles. 2011 AFC President's Cup
The 2011 AFC President's Cup was the seventh edition of the AFC President's Cup, a football competition organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for clubs from "emerging countries" in Asia. Teams from 12 member associations competed. In the qualifying stage, the 12 teams were divided into three groups of four teams each, and the top two teams from each group qualified for the six-team finals to be played at a centralised venue. In the final stage, the qualified six teams were divided into two groups of three teams each. The winners from each group met in the final for the title. Feni Soccer Club was a Bangladeshi football club based in Feni. It was supposed to play in the Dhaka Senior Division Football League, the 3nd-tier league of the country, in 2018. 5,000 capacity Shahid Salam Stadium was their home ground.
