Bosnia
Bosnia and Herzegovina, sometimes known as Bosnia-Herzegovina and informally as Bosnia, is a country in Southeast Europe. ''American Top 40'' (abbreviated to ''AT40'') is an internationally radio syndication, syndicated, independent song countdown radio programming, radio program created by Casey Kasem, Don Bustany, Tom Rounds, and Ron Jacobs (broadcaster), Ron Jacobs. The program is currently hosted by Ryan Seacrest and presented as an adjunct to his weekday radio program, ''On Air with Ryan Seacrest''. Originally a production of Watermark Inc. American Top 20
''American Top 20'' was the name given to two weekly spinoffs of the music countdown program ''American Top 40''. They were both hosted by Casey Kasem for Premiere Networks (originally AMFM Radio Networks) and premiered on the weekend of March 28, 1998, the same weekend Kasem returned to host ''American Top 40''. In contrast with its parent series, which catered to popular music stations, ''American Top 20'' provided the same service to adult contemporary stations. One of the weekly countdowns was produced for hot adult contemporary stations, while the other was produced for mainstream adult contemporary stations. The latter of the two series would see its survey cut in half starting with the week ending on March 20, 2004, becoming known as ''American Top 10''. Casey Kasem
Kemal Amin "Casey" Kasem (April 27, 1932 – June 15, 2014) was an American disc jockey, actor, and radio presenter who created and hosted several radio countdown programs, notably ''American Top 40'', as well as the weekly syndicated television series ''America's Top 10''. He was the first actor to voice Shaggy Rogers in the ''Scooby-Doo'' franchise (1969 to 1997 and 2002 to 2009) and Dick Grayson/Robin in ''Super Friends'' (1973–1985). Kasem began hosting the original ''American Top 40'' on the weekend of July 4, 1970, and remained there until 1988. He hosted ''Casey's Top 40'' from January 1989 to February 1998, then revived ''American Top 40'' in 1998. He hosted two countdowns for the adult contemporary format from 1992 to 2009. Death Of Michael Jackson
On June 25, 2009, the American singer Michael Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 50. His personal physician, Conrad Murray, said that he found Jackson in his bedroom at his North Carolwood Drive home in the Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, Holmby Hills area of the city not breathing and with a weak pulse; he administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to no avail, and security called 9-1-1 at 12:21 p.m. Pacific Time Zone, Pacific Daylight Time (UTC−07:00, UTC–7). Eritrea, officially the State of Eritrea, is a country in the Horn of Africa region of East Africa, with its capital and largest city being Asmara. Radio Erena
Radio Erena is a Paris-based radio station which broadcasts news in Tigrinya and Arabic into Eritrea. The two-hour daily broadcasts focus on Eritrean politics as well as the migration situation in Europe. The station is headquartered in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, with financial support from Reporters Without Borders. It uses satellite, the internet, and a mobile app to broadcast into Eritrea, where it is the only independent radio station. History The station was founded in 2009 by Biniam Simon, a former journalist for Eri-TV who was allowed to travel to Japan in 2007 to take part in a seminar on video production. Fearing repression at home, he sought but was refused asylum in Japan; he then managed to make his way to France. Radio Academy Awards
The Radio Academy Awards, started in 1983, were the most prestigious awards in the British radio industry. For most of their existence, they were run by ZAFER Associates, but in latter years were brought under the control of The Radio Academy. The awards were generally referred to by the name of their first sponsor, Sony, as The Sony Awards, The Sony Radio Awards or variations. In August 2013, Sony announced the end of its sponsorship agreement with The Radio Academy after 32 years. Consequently, the awards were named simply ''The Radio Academy Awards''. In November 2014, it was announced that The Radio Academy would not be holding the awards in 2015, and would be looking for other ways to recognise achievement in the future.
