2008–09 Ukrainian Cup
The 2008–09 Ukrainian Cup was the 18th annual season of Ukraine's football knockout competition. The defending champion of this edition was Shakhtar Donetsk. The Ukrainian Cup began with a preliminary round where teams from Druha Liha and Amateur Cup champions participated. In the second preliminary round, teams from Persha Liha were drawn into the competition and then in the round of 32 teams from Premier League entered the competition. The winners of this competition entered as Ukraine's cup winner representative in the play-off round of the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League. Since one of the finalists, Shakhtar Donetsk, has already qualified for European competitions for 2009–10 by virtue of their position in the Premier League, Vorskla Poltava automatically qualifies for the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League. FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk () is a Ukrainian professional Association football, football club that was based in the city of Donetsk until 2014 when, due to the War in Donbas (2014–2022), War in Donbas, the club was forced to move to Lviv, and played matches in Lviv (2014–2016) and in Kharkiv (2017–2020) whilst having its office headquarters and training facilities in Kyiv. In May 2020, Shakhtar started to play home matches at Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex, NSC Olimpiyskyi in Kyiv. The 2007 Ukrainian Amateur Cup was the twelfth annual season of Ukraine's football knockout competition for amateur football teams. The competition started on 8 August 2007 and concluded on 21 October 2007. The cup holders Karpaty Kamianka-Buzka did not enter. Football Club Kremin Kremenchuk (; ) is a professional association football, football club based in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. The current club is administered by the city of Kremenchuk and was established in 2003, but it traces its heritage to the previously existing clubs of 1959–1970 and 1985–2001.
