2008–09 Jordan League
The 2008–2009 Jordanian pro League was the 57th season of top-flight football in Jordan. From this season onwards, the name of the league has changed to the Jordanian Pro League. The championship was won by Al-Wehdat, while Shabab Al-Hussein was relegated. A total of 10 teams participated. The league was composed of teams from various cities, each bringing their unique strengths and histories to the competition. Al-Wehdat, based in Amman and playing their home games at the King Abdullah Stadium, emerged as the Jordan League Champions, securing their 11th title and marking their third consecutive championship win. Their performance qualified them for the 2009 AFC Cup and the Arab Champions League. Jordanian Pro League
The Jordanian Pro League () is a Jordanian professional league for men's football clubs and represents the top flight of Jordanian football. The championship consists of twelve competing teams in a home and away league system. The league was not held in the years: 1948, 1953, 1957, 1958, 1967, 1968, 1969, and not finished in 1998. In 2002, the league changed calendar to a fall spring season, and in 2020 the league returned to a spring fall season. From the 2023-24 season, the Jordan Football Association, JFA decided to return to the fall spring calendar to match the date of the league with the Asian championships. AFC Cup 2009
The 2009 AFC Cup was the sixth season of the AFC Cup, a competition among clubs from member nations of the Asian Football Confederation. With the Asian Football Confederation reviewed the format of the AFC Champions League and made significant changes to way the competition is run, the teams that qualified for the AFC Cup is also from different countries compared to the previous editions. Al-Faisaly Sports Club () is a Jordanian professional football club based in Amman. Founded in 1932, the club competes in the Jordanian Pro League, the top flight of Jordanian football. Nicknamed "the Blue Eagles", they were founded as Al-Ashbal Club in 1932. Ar Ramtha
Ar-Ramtha (), colloquially transliterated as Ar-Romtha (), is a city situated in the far northwest of Jordan near the border with Syria. It covers 40 km2 on a plain 30 km northeast of the Jordan River and Irbid. Al-Arabi Irbid Sports Club () is a football club based in Irbid, Jordan which currently competes in the Jordanian First Division League, the second tier of Jordanian football. History Al-Arabi Sports Club's origins began when a group of 22 young intellectuals were interested in establishing a place, where they could gather and practice their various hobbies. Thus, the Acting and Music Club was formed in 1945. The club began as one that focused on youth culture and music, and sports was not a focus of the club at the time. Irbid (), known in ancient times as Arabella or Arbela (Άρβηλα in Ancient Greek language, Ancient Greek), is the capital and largest city of Irbid Governorate.
