The 2008–09 season was the 98th season in Hajduk Split's history and their eighteenth in the Prva HNL. Their 5th-place finish in the 2007–08 season meant it was their 18th successive season playing in the Prva HNL. HNK Hajduk Split
Hrvatski Nogometni klub Hajduk Split, commonly referred to as Hajduk Split (), is a Croatian professional Association football, football Football team, club based in Split, Croatia, Split, that competes in the Croatian First Football League, Croatian First League, the top tier in Croatian football. Since 1979, the club's home ground has been the 33,987-seater Stadion Poljud. The team's traditional home colours are white shirts with blue shorts and blue socks. The idea to form a football club was started by a group of Split students who were studying in Prague. After observing a game between SK Slavia Prague, Slavia and AC Sparta Prague, Sparta Prague, the group gathered at the U Fleků tavern and talked of creating a football club at home. When they returned to Split, they put their plan in motion and Hajduk was founded on 13 February 1911. Jurica Buljat
Jurica Buljat (born 19 September 1986) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a defender. Club career On 20 June 2011, Buljat signed a three-year contract with Israeli defending champion Maccabi Haifa. Buljat made his debut on 2011–12 UEFA Champions League second qualifying round, 13 July 2011, against Borac Banja Luka. He was released from the Israeli club after one year. Buljat signed for Ukrainian side FC Metalist Kharkiv in February, 2015. At Metalist, Buljat made 11 appearances. He was released at the end of the season. On 13 January 2017, Buljat signed for Uzbekistani club Pakhtakor Tashkent for the 2017 season after having featured 25 times for Bunyodkor of the same country. Mirko Oremuš
Mirko Oremuš (born 6 September 1988) is a Croatian professional footballer. Club career Oremuš joined the Hajduk Split academy in 2003, joining from Val Kaštel Stari. A youth national team player, he debuted in the Hajduk first team by scoring against Slaven Belupo, coming in from the bench for the last 14 minutes of the game. He was, however, deemed surplus by the manager and made no further appearances that autumn. This prompted him to rescind his contract with the club and move to third-tier club Novalja. After a very good spring there, he was called back to Hajduk, where he remained for the next three seasons. Mladen Bartolović
Mladen Bartolović (born 10 April 1977) is a Bosnian professional football coach and former player. Club career Born in Zavidovići, Bartolović played basketball until the age of 16. However, as basketball came to a standstill during the Bosnian war, he turned to football. He began his professional career in 1996 at Segesta Sisak and moved to Croatian Football League club Cibalia Vinkonci two years later. In the 2000–01 season, he went to German club 1. Drago Gabrić (born 27 September 1986) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Croatian side Zagora Unešić. He also plays futsal. Marin Tomasov
Marin Tomasov (born 31 August 1987) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a winger or an attacking midfielder for Kazakhstan Premier League club Astana. Club career Coming from the village of Dobropoljana, on the island of Pašman, Tomasov entered the youth ranks of NK Sveti Mihovil, on the neighboring island of Ugljan, which represents both islands. Ante Vukušić (; born 4 June 1991) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Croatian Football League club Croatia Zmijavci. Club career Vukušić started his career playing at youth level for his hometown club Junak Sinj. Srđan Andrić (born 5 January 1980) is a Croatian former professional association football, footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He was most recently the youth academy director of HNK Hajduk Split, Hajduk Split. Club career Andrić started his career with Croatia's Hajduk Split. Senijad Ibričić (born 26 September 1985) is a Bosnian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Slovenian fifth division side Litija. Besides Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ibričić played in Croatia, Russia, Turkey, Macedonia, Iran, and Slovenia.
