The 2008–09 season was Ergotelis F.C., Ergotelis' 79th season in existence, 4th season in the Super League Greece, and the third consecutive since the club's latest promotion from the Football League (Greece), Football League. Ergotelis Football Club () is a Greek professional Association football, football club based in Heraklion, Crete, which competes in the Heraklion Football Clubs Association, FCA Heraklion A1, the fourth tier of the Greek football league system, and hosts its home games at the Pankritio Stadium. Established in 1929 and named after the ancient Cretan Ergoteles of Himera, Olympic runner, it is part of ''Gymnastics Club Ergotelis'' (). Ergotelis is one of the two Heraklion-based football clubs to have competed in the Super League Greece, Greek Super League, the country's top-level football competition, having made a total of 9 appearances during 2004–2015. Zacharias Kavousakis
Zacharias Kavousakis (, born 11 January 1989) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Super League 2 club Panserraikos. Career Kavousakis started his career with local Heraklion-based Superleague club Ergotelis and signed his first professional contract on 21 February 2008. He remained at the club for 7 seasons mostly as a back-up goalkeeper, making a total of 32 appearances across all competitions. On 23 July 2015, Kavousakis signed a 3-year contract with Football League side AEL, with whom he celebrated promotion to the Superleague, again mostly as a back-up keeper. Ioannis Kiliaras
Giannis Kiliaras (; born 9 June 1988) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a left back for Irodotos FC. Club career Born in Nea Alikarnassos, Kiliaras began playing football for local Cretan side Irodotos, with whom he made his senior debut in the Delta Ethniki, before making a leap in his career and signing with Super League side Ergotelis. Following a one-year loan to fellow Cretan Delta Ethniki side PANOM, Kiliaras signed his first professional contract with the club in the summer of 2007. After a brief loan spell to Gamma Ethniki side Trikala in the winter of 2010, Kiliaras left Ergotelis in the summer of 2010 having made a total of 11 appearances and having scored 1 goal. Georgios Sarris (; born 8 September 1989) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a centre-back. Career Ergotelis Sarris began his football career at the infrastructure segments of his local club Ergotelis. He signed his first professional contract with the club in 2009. At the age of 19, Sarris made two league appearances in his first season and one appearance in the 2009–10 season. In the 2010–11 season he began gaining substantially more playing time, making eight appearances in the league and one in the cup, while the next season saw him making another 21 appearances. At the end of the 2011−12 season, Ergotelis were relegated to the Football League. Panagiotis Kordonouris (; born 8 November 1975) is a Greek former footballer. He spent the majority of his career in Crete, representing clubs at various competition levels spanning the Greek Superleague to Crete's amateur regional competitions. Playing career Born in Amaliada, Kordonouris began playing football with his local side Asteras Amaliada, before being spotted by Alpha Ethniki club Panachaiki in 1996.
