Crewe Alexandra F
Crewe () is a railway town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. At the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 55,318 and the built-up area had a population of 74,120. Crewe is perhaps best known as a large railway junction and home to Crewe Works; for many years, it was a major railway engineering facility for manufacturing and overhauling locomotives, but is now much reduced in size. From 1946 until 2002, it was also the home of Rolls-Royce motor car production. The Pyms Lane factory on the west of the town now exclusively produces Bentley motor cars. Barnsley () is a market town in South Yorkshire, England. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley and the fourth largest settlement in South Yorkshire. Michael O'Connor (footballer, Born 1987)
Michael Joseph O'Connor (born 6 October 1987) is a former professional footballer from Northern Ireland. He began his professional career at Crewe Alexandra in 2005 and soon established himself as a first-team regular. He was loaned out to Lincoln City in March 2009 and was sold to Scunthorpe United in July 2009 for a £250,000 fee. He spent three seasons with the "Iron", two of which were in the Championship, before he was allowed to sign with Rotherham United in May 2012. He helped the "Millers" to win two consecutive promotions, coming out of League Two as runners-up in 2012–13, and then winning the League One play-off final in 2014. Eugen Bopp
Eugen Bopp (born 5 September 1983) is a German former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in Ukraine, he represented the Germany national under-19 team. Early life Bopp was born in Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR to an ethnic German father and a Ukrainian mother. His brother Viktor Bopp is also a footballer. Club career Nottingham Forest Bopp played in the Bayern Munich youth system before joining the Academy of English club Nottingham Forest as a 16-year-old on 20 June 2000. He signed for Forest after Academy manager Paul Hart persuaded him, despite there being interest from other European clubs. He progressed through the ranks and signed his first professional contract with Forest on 11 September 2000. Julien Baudet
Julien Baudet (born 13 January 1979) is a French footballer and current manager. Club career Europe Although excelling as a skier in his youth, Baudet chose to concentrate on football, beginning his career with Toulouse FC in France, where he spent two years, clocking up 21 league appearances. In 2001 Baudet moved to Oldham Athletic in the third tier in England on a free transfer. Spending two years at Oldham, he made 44 league appearances, scoring his first goal on 20 April 2002 against Queens Park Rangers. Steven Schumacher
Steven Thomas Schumacher (born 30 April 1984) is an English football manager and former professional footballer, who is currently head coach of club Bolton Wanderers. He graduated from the youth sides at Everton, and during his playing career his clubs included Bradford City, Crewe Alexandra, Bury, Fleetwood Town, Stevenage and Southport. He also had loan spells early in his career with Carlisle United and Oldham Athletic. He started his coaching career as caretaker at Southport and later managed Plymouth Argyle. Billy Jones (footballer, Born 1983)
William Kenneth Jones (born 26 June 1983) is an English football defender who plays for Bearsted. His league debut came for Orient, in January 2001, when he was just 17. Over the next four seasons he played 79 games for the club, moving to Kidderminster Harriers in January 2005. Unfortunately, though, Kidderminster were relegated from the Football League, and Jones moved to Exeter at the end of the season. Dan Woodards
Daniel James Woodards (18 November 1886 – 14 December 1964) was an English footballer who played as a wing half for West Ham United until his retirement from football in 1921. Playing career Woodards was born in East Ham, England and started his football career playing with local sides in East London. He joined West Ham in 1905 but did not make an appearance for them until 1907 in a game in the Southern League against Brighton. He spent the 1908–09 season at Hastings & St Leonards United where he made at least 16 appearances, scoring 7 goals in all competitions but returned to West Ham in 1909 whom he played for in the Second Division after World War I. Stephen Philip Collis (born 18 March 1981) is an English former professional footballer who is currently the goalkeeping coach at English League Two club Notts County. Dario Gradi
Dario Gradi (born 8 July 1941) is an Italian-English former football player, coach and manager. He was associated for more than 36 years with Crewe Alexandra, where he was variously manager, director of football and director of the Academy, until October 2019. Gradi played as an amateur for clubs in the London area (and won an England amateur cap); he then took on various coaching roles in the region. His first major managerial success was achieved with Wimbledon after which he briefly managed Crystal Palace in 1981. Gradi had a 24-year first spell as manager of Crewe between 1983 and 2007. He stepped down from his managerial role in 2007, handing first-team responsibilities to Steve Holland, and became technical director.
