2007–08 Paris Saint-Germain FC Season
The 2007–08 season was Paris Saint-Germain's 38th season in existence. PSG played their home league games at the Parc des Princes in Paris, registering an average attendance of 36,755 spectators per match. Alain Cayzac presided the club until April 2008, when Simon Tahar replaced him. The team was coached by Paul Le Guen. Pauleta was the team captain. News Sylvain Armand extended his contract with Paris Saint Germain until 2011. The divorce between Paul Le Guen and Fabrice Pancrate was definitive. The player refused to participate during the pre-season and the LFP suspended his contract with PSG. Jérôme Rothen signed an extension to his deal with Paris Saint Germain and was now tied to the Parc des Princes until 2011. The Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels (UNFP; English: National Union of Professional Footballers) is the main trade union for professional football players in France. It was founded on 16 November 1961 by Eugène N'Jo Léa and Just Fontaine, two footballers, and Jacques Bertrand, a jurist. As of May 2021, the presidents of the UNFP are Philippe Piat and Sylvain Kastendeuch. Each month, a trophy is awarded by the UNFP to the best players in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. Jean-Marc Pilorget (born 13 April 1958) is a French former professional football player and manager. He held the record of the most appearances for Paris Saint-Germain, with 435 matches, until 2024. Dominique Claude Rocheteau (born 14 January 1955) is a French former professional footballer who played as a winger. A French international, he played in three FIFA World Cups, scoring at least one goal in each of them, and was part of the team that won UEFA Euro 1984. The 1982 Coupe de France final was a football match held at Parc des Princes, Paris on 15 May 1982, that saw Paris Saint-Germain FC win their first Coupe de France by defeating AS Saint-Étienne in a penalty shoot out. The Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre Training Center (), commonly known as the Camp des Loges, is a sports facility in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France. Since October 2024, it has served as the training facility of rugby union club Stade Français; from July 1970 to June 2023, football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was the tenant. The current version of the Camp des Loges opened in November 2008, and is the second to have been built on the site, with the first opening its doors in June 1904. Jérôme René Marcel Rothen (born 31 March 1978) is a French former professional footballer who played as a winger. He is a football pundit. Rothen won 13 caps for the France national football team. He represented his country at the UEFA Euro 2004 and won the FIFA Confederations Cup with France in 2003.
