The 2007–08 Maltese Premier League (known as the Bank of Valletta, BOV Premier League for sponsorship reasons) was the 28th season of the Maltese Premier League, and the 93rd season of top-level league association football, football in Malta. Valletta F.C., Valletta won their nineteenth league title overcoming last season's champions, Marsaxlokk F.C., Marsaxlokk. Maltese Premier League
The Maltese Premier League, known as 360Sports Malta Premier for sponsorship reasons with 360Sports (colloquialism, colloquially known as ''Il-Kampjonat Premjer''), is the highest level of professional football in Malta. Managed by the Malta Football Association, the Premier League is contested by 12 teams and operates on a promotion and relegation system with the Maltese Challenge League, Challenge League. As of June 2022, the Premier League ranks 46th out of 55 members in the UEFA coefficient. The league was first contested in 1909 as the First Division, before switching to its current name in 1980; the First Division in turn replaced the Maltese Second Division, Second Division. Njongo Priso
Njongo Lobe Priso Doding (born 24 December 1988) is a Cameroonian professional footballer who plays as a winger for SK Victoria Wanderers FC. Club career On 9 July 2008, Njongo Priso signed a contract with Valletta, with whom he won Maltese National League 100 Anniversary Cup and Maltese FA Trophy. In 2010, Cyprus side AEK Larnaca signed Njongo Priso on a season-long loan deal, with an option to make the move permanent. On 30 August 2010, he made his debut as a second-half substitute in a 2–1 defeat of Omonia. He scored his first goal for AEK in a 1–1 draw at Ermis Aradippou on 26 February 2011. At the end of the season, Priso joined AEK on a free transfer, however Valletta agreed to receive a percentage of any future transfer fee. Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza
Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza (born 20 November 1981 in Msida, Malta) is a professional footballer who plays for Msida Saint-Joseph as a striker. Playing career Mifsud Triganza began his career with Floriana and was promoted to the first team during the 2000–01 season. He made two appearances early in the season, but did achieve a 50% strike rate, after scoring a goal in a 1–1 draw against Naxxar Lions. Following two seasons on loan with Msida St. Joseph, Mifsud Triganza returned to Floriana, and started to establish himself as a first team regular, making 17 appearances and scoring four goals during the 2002–03 season, as Floriana narrowly avoided relegation, finishing 2nd in the relegation group, and thereby 8th in the overall league table. Terence Scerri (born 3 April 1984 in Senglea, Malta) is a professional footballer currently playing for Zurrieq Football Club Playing career Hibernians Terence Scerri was spotted playing for the St. George's youth team, and was snapped up by Maltese Premier League team Hibernians. Scerri made his first team bow during the 2000–01 season, going on to make just two appearances, failing to score, as Hibernians recorded a 4th-place finish in the Premier League. Scerri started to stake a claim for more first team action during the 2001–02 season. Terence made six appearances and scored two goals. He got his first taste of success as Hibernians won the Maltese title. Omar Sebastian Monesterolo
Umar ibn al-Khattab (; ), also spelled Omar, was the second Rashidun caliph, ruling from August 634 until his assassination in 644.
