The 2007–08 Lebanese Second Division was the 74th season of the Second Division league which featured 14 clubs. Two of these teams were eligible for promotion to the top league of Lebanese football, the Lebanese Premier League, while two of the 14 teams had to face relegation to the Lebanese Third Division for the Lebanese Third Division 2007–08 Season, 2007–08 Season. Lebanese Second Division
The Lebanese Second Division () is the second division of Lebanese football. Established in 1933, it is controlled by the Lebanese Football Association. The 12 teams that participate in the league play each other twice, once at home and once away, with the champions and the second placed team qualifying to the Lebanese Premier League to replace the bottom two teams. History Salam Achrafieh won the inaugural edition of the Second Division, in 1933–34, after beating Ararad 2–0 in the final. There was no promotion or relegation system at the time, so Salam Achrafieh remained in the Second Division. In April 1935, Second Division clubs requested a promotion system to be implemented. Salam Zgharta
Salam Zgharta Football Club (), known as Salam Zgharta or simply Salam, is a football club based in Zgharta, Lebanon, that competes in the . Founded in 1933 as Salam Achrafieh, the club was renamed Salam Zgharta in 1971; their supporters are primarily Maronites from the Zgharta region and other districts in North Lebanon. The club's traditional kit colours are red and black. In 2014, they won the Lebanese FA Cup, their only major trophy to date. Chabab Sporting Club Ghazieh (), known as Chabab Ghazieh or simply Ghazieh, is a football club based in Ghazieh, Lebanon, that competes in the . Founded in 1961, the club plays their home matches at the Kfarjoz Stadium. History On 13 February 2022, Riyadi Abbasiyah clinched the 2021–22 Lebanese Third Division title after accumulating 7 points in the four-team playoff; the final match of the playoff ended in a 0–0 draw between Riyadi Abbasiyah and Bint Jbeil. On 18 February 2024, Riyadi Abbasiyah secured a 2–1 victory over Mabarra, a result that confirmed their first-place finish in the 2023–24 Lebanese Second Division after only two seasons in the Second Division. The Lebanese First Division (), commonly known as the Lebanese Premier League (), is the top division of the Lebanese football league system. Established in 1934 and organized by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), the Lebanese Premier League is one of the oldest in the Middle East, originally launched under the name Edmond Rubeiz Cup. Throughout its history, the league has experienced several interruptions due to political instability and conflict. As of the 2024–25 Lebanese Premier League, 2024–25 season, the league features 12 clubs and employs a split-season format, with a regular season followed by championship and relegation rounds. The Lebanese Third Division () is the third division of Lebanese football, and is controlled by the Lebanese Football Association. The 23 teams are divided into four groups of six teams each (one group has 5 teams); the first two teams of each group qualify to the playoffs and the first two teams of these playoffs qualify to the Lebanese Second Division and replace the relegated teams.
