The 2007–08 Swiss Super League was the 111th season of Swiss Super League, top-tier football in Switzerland. The competition was officially named ''AXPO Super League'' due to sponsoring purposes. AC Bellinzona
AC Bellinzona is a Swiss football club based in Bellinzona. It was founded in 1904, and won the Swiss Super League in 1948. After being folded in 2013 declaring bankruptcy, the team played the Ticino Group of 2.Liga, the sixth tier of the Swiss Football League System in 2014–15 season. After winning it and the 1. Liga Classic, Bellinzona was promoted to 1. Liga Promotion. They have since earned promotion back to, and currently play in, the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier of Swiss football. The 2008–09 Swiss Challenge League was the sixth season of the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier of the Swiss football league pyramid. It began on 25 July 2008 and ended on 30 May 2009. The champions of this season, FC St. Gallen, earned promotion to the 2009–10 Super League. The two teams, FC Concordia Basel and FC La Chaux-de-Fonds, were administratively relegated to the 1. The 2008–09 Swiss Super League was the 112th season of top-tier football in Switzerland. The competition was officially named ''AXPO Super League'' due to sponsoring purposes. It began on 18 July 2008 with a match between Young Boys Bern and reigning champions FC Basel, which the latter won by 2–1. The last matches were played in May 2009. Teams FC Thun were relegated after finishing in 10th and last place in 2007–08 Swiss Super League. They were replaced by Challenge League 2007–08 champions FC Vaduz, who are the first team from Liechtenstein participating in Switzerland's top football league. 9th placed FC St. Gallen and Challenge League runners-up AC Bellinzona competed in a two-legged relegation play-off after the end of last season. Marcos Agustín Gelabert (born 16 September 1981, in General Pico, La Pampa) is an Argentine footballer who plays for Gimnasia Mendoza. His position is defensive midfielder. Career Gelabert started his career at Estudiantes de La Plata in the Primera División Argentina in 2001. He went on to play over 100 games for the club before he moved to Swiss Super League side FC St. Gallen in 2006. He became, arguably, the club's best player but after their relegation into the Swiss Challenge League at the end of the 2007–08 season he moved on. Senad Lulić (; born 18 January 1986) is a Bosnian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Lulić started his professional career at Chur 97, before joining Bellinzona in 2006. Two years later, he switched to Grasshoppers. In 2010, he was transferred to Young Boys. The following year, he moved to Lazio.
