The 2006–07 Welsh Premier League was the 15th season of the Welsh Premier League since its establishment as the League of Wales in 1992. It began on 18 August 2006 and ended on 21 April 2007. Welsh Premier League
The Cymru Premier, known as the JD Cymru Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the national football league of Wales. It has both professional and semi-professional status clubs and is at the top of the Welsh football league system. Prior to 2002, the league was known as the League of Wales (LoW), but changed its name as part of a sponsorship deal to the Welsh Premier League. The league was rebranded as the Cymru Premier for the 2019–20 season. Kaid Yusef Mohamed ( ar, قائد يوسف محمد; born 23 July 1984) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a winger for club Carmarthen Town. He spent the early part of his career in Welsh football with Ely Rangers, Cwmbrân Town, Llanelli, and Carmarthen Town. He came to prominence in the 2006–07 season, scoring two goals for Carmarthen in their Welsh Cup final victory. He left Carmarthen to go and play in the English Football League after he was handed a professional contract by Swindon Town in June 2007. From Swindon he was loaned out to Torquay United, before dropping into the Conference Premier on a permanent basis with Forest Green Rovers. After losing his first team place at Rovers, he was loaned out to Newport County, before dropping into the Conference South with Bath City. Marc Lloyd Williams (born 8 February 1973) is a Welsh former footballer. He is the Welsh Premier League's all-time top scorer, with 319 goals. Career Williams was born in Bangor, and brought up in Llanberis. He has played for a number of clubs including recently Bangor City (5 spells), TNS, Stockport County, Haugesund, York City, Aberystwyth Town, Halifax Town, Southport, Altrincham, Colwyn Bay, Porthmadog (2 spells), Newtown (2 spells) and Rhyl. Other honours include Wales B international appearances. Welsh Premier championship medal (3), Welsh Cup winner's medal (twice), Welsh Premier Golden Boot award (twice) and Norwegian First Division Championship medal. Welsh Football League Division One
The Welsh Football League Division One, known as the Nathanielcars.co.uk Welsh League First Division for sponsorship reasons, was a football league in South Wales. It formed the top division of the Welsh Football League and the second level of the Welsh football league system until the 2019–20 season when it was replaced by the Cymru South. From the 2019–20 season it operated at the third level of the Welsh football league system. If the team which finished top of the Division had good enough ground facilities, it was promoted to the Welsh Premier League and was replaced by one of the two teams finishing bottom of the Premiership. If the Division champions' ground did not meet Premiership standards, then the team which finished second may have been promoted. Cwmbran ( ; cy, Cwmbrân , also in use as an alternative spelling in English) is a town in the county borough of Torfaen in South Wales. Porthmadog (; ), originally Portmadoc until 1974 and locally as "Port", is a Welsh coastal town and community in the Eifionydd area of Gwynedd and the historic county of Caernarfonshire.
