The 2006–07 Ulster Rugby season was Ulster Rugby, Ulster's 13th season since the advent of professionalism in rugby union, and their third under head coach Mark McCall. They competed in the European Rugby Champions Cup, Heineken Cup and the Celtic League (rugby union), Celtic League. They finished fifth in the Celtic League. Ravenhill Stadium
Ravenhill Stadium (known as the Kingspan Stadium for sponsorship reasons until June 2025) is a rugby stadium located in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is the home of Ulster Rugby. With the opening of a new stand for the 2014 Heineken Cup quarter-final against Saracens F.C., Saracens on 5 April 2014, the capacity of the stadium is now 18,196. The stadium is owned by the Irish Rugby Football Union. History Ravenhill Stadium opened in 1923. It features an ornate arch at the entrance that was erected as a war memorial for those players killed in World War I and World War II. Prior to 1923, both Ulster and Ireland played games at the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society grounds in Belfast. Ravenhill has been the annual venue for the Ulster Schools Cup final since 1924, which is traditionally contested on St Patrick's Day. Mark Bartholomeusz
Mark Bartholomeusz (born 30 June 1977) is a retired Australian professional rugby union footballer. He played in the positions of fullback, flyhalf, inside centre, outside centre and wing. Career Mark Bartholomuesz started his rugby career at Sunnybank in Queensland, being a Brisbane local. He then moved to Souths Rugby as a teenager. Bartholomeusz attended Brisbane State High School. He played in the 1st XV for three years. He was also a talented cricketer. He played for the ACT Brumbies and was a member of the side that defeated the Sharks in 2001 and the Crusaders in 2004 to win Super 12 titles. Mark Bartholomeusz represented Australia at Under 21’s level as well as representing Australia in Rugby Sevens at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Paul Marshall (rugby Union)
Paul Marshall (born 26 July 1985) is a former Irish rugby union player who was educated at Methodist College Belfast. Ulster Paul Joined Ulster at the beginning of the 2006/2007 on a full contract having graduated from the Ulster Academy. His first senior game was against Newport Gwent Dragons on November 9, 2006, coming on as a substitute. He used to play scrum-half for Ulster and is a former captain of the Ulster U21 rugby team. In early January 2012 Paul signed a new 2-year contract extension with Ulster. He was named Most Improved Player for the 2011/12 season at the annual Awards Dinner. He was man-of-the-match against Castres in the Heineken Cup at the start of the 2012/13 campaign. Northampton Saints
Northampton Saints (officially Northampton Rugby Football Club) is a professional rugby union club from Northampton, England. The club plays in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby union. It was formed in 1880 as "Northampton St. James", which gave it the nickname ''Saints'' from the 1880s. Samuel Harding (born 1 December 1980) is a rugby union footballer who plays at flanker. He was born in Subiaco. In 2002, Harding won a cap with the New Zealand national rugby union team against Fiji. Kieron Dawson
Kieron Dawson (born 29 January 1975 in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland) is a retired Irish rugby union player who was a flanker for Ulster and Ireland. He played for Bangor prior to his move to London Irish in 1996, he played 190 games in his 10 years at the Exiles. He was London Irish player of the season in 2000-01 and helped the club win the Powergen Cup in 2002. He was capped at Ireland A, under-21, students and schoolboy levels and went on to win 21 Ireland caps and was part the 1999 Rugby World Cup squad.
