2006–07 Lebanese Second Division
The 2006–07 Lebanese Second Division was the 73rd season of the Second Division league which featured 14 clubs. Two of these teams were eligible for promotion to the top league of Lebanese football, the Lebanese Premier League while two of the fourteen teams had to face relegation to the Lebanese Third Division for the 2006–07 Season. The Lebanese First Division (), commonly known as the Lebanese Premier League (), is the top division of the Lebanese football league system. Established in 1934 and organized by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), the Lebanese Premier League is one of the oldest in the Middle East, originally launched under the name Edmond Rubeiz Cup. Al-Ahli Nabatieh
Al Ahly Sporting Club Nabatieh (), known as Ahly Nabatieh or simply Nabatieh, is a football club based in Nabatieh, Lebanon. It was established in 1968 and competes in the . They were first promoted to the Lebanese Premier League in 2023, and finished runners-up in the Lebanese Federation Cup the same year. They however got relegated back to the Second Division at the end of the season. Shabab El Bourj Sporting Club () is a football club based in Bourj el-Barajneh, Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . The club was founded in 1967 as Al Irshad SC, and changed their name to Shabab El Bourj SC in 2017. History Founded in 1967 as Al Irshad SC, the club changed their name to Shabab El Bourj SC in 2017. The 2007–08 Lebanese Premier League season was the 47th edition in the Lebanese Premier League. Al-Ansar unsuccessfully defended its 2007 title with a 1-1 draw against Nejmeh. Al Ahed successfully defended its pursuit of its first title in the final defeating Tadamon Sour, 2–1. Nejmeh Striker Mohammed Ghaddar won the top scorer award, having found the net 22 times. The 2008 unrest in Lebanon caused the games to be postponed for one month. The league finished in June 2008 instead of May 2008 as scheduled.
