The 2006–07 Croatian Football Cup was the sixteenth season of Croatia's Association football, football knockout competition. Calendar Preliminary round The preliminary round was held on 30 August 2006. First round Matches played on 20 September 2006. Second round Matches played on 24 and 25 October 2006. Quarter-finals First legs were held on 21 and 22 November and second legs between 28 November and 6 December 2006. HNK Vukovar '91
HNK Vukovar '91 was a Croatian football club based in the river port of Vukovar. History Under the name NK Vukovar '91, club was founded in Zagreb by Vukovar refugees during the Croatian War of Independence. In 1992, newly founded Vukovar '91 merged with NK Sloga, an older club based in Vukovar. The club's greatest success came in the 1998–99 season, when Vukovar won the Croatian second division, earning the team promotion to the Prva HNL. They lasted only one season in the top flight and were relegated after finishing last. In the 2001–02 season, they finished first in the North Division of Druga HNL but were defeated by Šibenik in a two-legged promotion play-off. In the 2007–08 season they were relegated from Druga HNL, but managed to come back after just one season in the third tier of Croatian football. NK Croatia Sesvete
NK Croatia Sesvete was a Croatian football club based in the Sesvete district of the City of Zagreb. Previous club names: NK Sljeme (1957–1988), NK Sesvete (1988–1996), NK Badel Sesvete (1996–1997), NK Sesvete (1997–1998). The club was dissolved in 2012 due to financial irregularities. Newly formed NK Croatia Prigorje is seen as club's spiritual successor. 2010 Match fixing scandal In June 2010 Croatian Police started making arrests connected to match fixing in the Croatian League. 20 players in total, including 9 players from Croatia Sesvete were arrested. The nine were: Miljenko Bošnjak, Goran Jerković, Saša Mus, Ante Pokrajčić, Mario Čižmek, Marko Guja, Ivan Banović and Dario Šušak. NK Slavonac is a Croatian football club based in a village Stari Perkovci in Slavonia. Slavonac clinched promotion to an expanded 1. HNL in 2009 after finishing 4th in the second division. However, since the club plays in a village of only 1,300 people, they were not able to secure a home ground for the top flight in nearby Slavonski Brod and were instead administratively relegated.
