2006–07 Clyde F.C. Season
In season 2006–07, Clyde F.C., Clyde competed in their seventh consecutive season in the Scottish First Division. Joe Miller (footballer, born 1967), Joe Miller was appointed as new manager, after Graham Roberts (footballer), Graham Roberts was dismissed for gross misconduct on a tour of Canada. In a subsequent court case Roberts was awarded £32,000 compensation for unfair dismissal. Clyde finished fifth in the Scottish First Division, and reached their first cup final for 48 years, in the Scottish Challenge Cup. They went out of the Scottish League Cup in the first round and the Scottish Cup in the third round. Joe Miller (footballer, Born 1967)
Joseph Miller (born 8 December 1967 in Glasgow) is a Scottish retired footballer and a former manager of Scottish Football League club Clyde. He began his playing career as a teenage striker at Aberdeen, featuring in their 1985–86 Scottish Cup success, before moving to Celtic in 1987 for £650,000, a Scottish record transfer fee. Mainly used as a winger from then on, Miller won the 'double' of Scottish League and Scottish Cup with Celtic in 1988, and scored the winning goal for the club in the 1989 Scottish Cup Final. In 1993 he returned to Aberdeen, collecting another winner's medal in the 1995 Scottish League Cup Final to complete a domestic set. In his later career he had shorter spells with Dundee United, in Australia (spending a season with Parramatta Power in the NSL), Raith Rovers, Clydebank and Clyde, moving into coaching with the latter. David McGowan (footballer)
David McGowan (born 17 February 1988 in Glasgow) is a Scottish football midfielder who played with Montrose. Career McGowan signed a YTS contract with the club in the summer of 2006, and made his debut in Clyde's last game of the 2006-07 season as a substitute, against Dundee. McGowan signed his first professional contract in July 2007. McGowan was used as a lone striker in several games under Colin Hendry. He scored his first senior goal, which turned out to be the winning goal in a Scottish First Division match against Dunfermline on 22 September 2007. He scored his second goal the following week, in a 4-2 defeat at Livingston. Paul Jarvie
Paul Jarvie (born 14 June 1982) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Scottish League One side Peterhead. Playing career Jarvie joined Dundee United from school and turned professional in May 1999. He signed for Stenhousemuir on loan on 24 November 2001, and his league début came the same day, when he played in a 1–1 draw at home to Queen of the South. He finally made his United début on the final day of the 2001–02 season, as a half-time substitute for regular keeper Paul Gallacher. He joined Forfar Athletic on loan in September 2004. He was supposed to stay until the end of December, but stayed only three days before being recalled by United after regular keeper Tony Bullock suffered a broken collar bone. Tooting & Mitcham United Football Club is an association football club based in the London Borough of Merton. They are currently members of the and play at Imperial Fields in Morden. Romauld Bouadji (born 10 January 1983), is a French footballer probably best known for his time with Scottish first division side Clyde. who is currently without a club. He is a central defender, but has been known on occasions to play as a sweeper and a defensive midfielder. Bouadji was capped at Under 16 level by France. Alexander Boyd Williams (born 15 January 1983), is a Scottish football forward. He has previously played in the Scottish Football League First Division for several clubs. Career Williams began his career with Stirling Albion, where he exploded onto the scene as a teenager, scoring 21 times in 61 appearances, and being linked to moves with big English clubs, such as Spurs and Charlton. Williams headed to Greenock Morton in 2002 for £50,000. Tom Brighton (born 28 March 1984) is a Scottish professional footballer, who played as a centre forward. Early life Brighton was educated at Marr College in Troon. Career Brighton began his career at Rangers, where he played only one game, before going to Scunthorpe United for a short loan spell. He was released from his contract with Rangers in June 2005. David William Hutton (born 18 May 1985) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Airdrieonians. Hutton has previously played for Aberdeen, Petershill, Clyde, Queen of the South, Hamilton Academical, Greenock Morton, Ayr United, Dunfermline Athletic, Arbroath, Brechin City and Alloa Athletic.
