The 2006–07 Austrian Football Bundesliga was the 95th season of top-tier football in Austria. The competition is officially called ''T-Mobile Bundesliga'', named after the Austrian branch of German mobile phone company T-Mobile. The season started on 18 July 2006, and the 36th and last round of matches took place on 20 May 2007. League table Results Teams played each other four times in the league. The Bundesliga ( , "Federal League"), also known as Admiral Bundesliga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Austria and the highest level of the Austrian football league system. The competition decides the Austrian Austrian champions (football), national football champions, as well the country's entrants for the various European cups run by UEFA. The 2007–08 UEFA Cup was the 37th edition of the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Cup, UEFA's former second-tier club association football, football tournament. The 2008 UEFA Cup Final, final was played at the City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, England on 14 May 2008 between Rangers F.C., Rangers of Scotland and FC Zenit Saint Petersburg, Zenit Saint Petersburg of Russia. Herwig Drechsel
Herwig Drechsel (born 4 September 1973) is an Austrian retired professional association football player who played as a midfielder and current manager. In his career he made over 350 Bundesliga appearances and was called up several times for the national team, but never played for them. In 2012, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of SV Ried, he was named "Player of the Century". Career Drechsel was active from 1995 to 2010 with a short break (1998/99 season at Grazer AK) for SV Ried and was always a top player as a midfielder and one of the top goal scorers as well as team captain from time to time. Christian Mayrleb (born 8 June 1972) is an Austrian retired professional footballer who is employed as the manager of Austrian side ASKÖ Donau Linz. Club career Born in Wels, Upper Austria, Mayrleb started his professional career at Second Division side Stahl Linz and SV Ried before joining Austrian Bundesliga outfit Admira/Wacker at the start of the 1994–95 season. Mate Bilić (born 23 October 1980) is a Croatian retired footballer who played as a striker. During his professional career he played mainly in Spain – where he arrived at the age of 21 – representing five different clubs. He amassed La Liga totals of 124 games and 22 goals over the course of five seasons for Sporting de Gijón and Zaragoza, as well as 197 games and 66 goals in the Segunda División. Alexander Zickler (born 28 February 1974) is a German professional football coach and a former player who played as a striker. He is the assistant manager of Marco Rose at RB Leipzig.
