Motor Lublin was the name given to several Polish motorcycle speedway teams that existed in the city of Lublin in Poland. In 2017, a new team called Klub Motorowy Cross Lublin was founded and is the current team competing in the Polish leagues from Lublin. Early history Speedway racing in Lublin first took place on 21 September 1947, when Lubelski Klub Motocyklowy organised a friendly tournament. In 1948, local activists led an initiative to build a speedway track. The team's first recorded league match occurred on 18 April 1956. 1956 to 1958 During the 1956 Polish speedway season a Lublin team called Liga Przyjaciół Żołnierza (LPZ) participated in the South Group of the second league, finishing fourth. Adrian Miedziński
Adrian Miedziński (born 20 August 1985 in Toruń, Poland) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. He earned four international caps for the Poland national speedway team. Career Miedziński started riding in Poland during 2002 when he made his debut for KS Toruń, he would go on to ride 16 consecutive seasons of the club and all in the Ekstraliga. In between he made his British league debut for Eastbourne Eagles in 2004, won the Individual Speedway Junior Polish Championship (in 2005) and won the Team Speedway Junior World Championship (in 2006). After riding for the Swindon Robins in 2006 he joined the Oxford Cheetahs for the 2007 season but was left without a British club following Oxford's withdrawal from the league. He would not return to Britain again until 2012. In 2013, he achieved his career best result after winning the Speedway Grand Prix of Poland during the 2013 Speedway Grand Prix series. Robert Sawina (born 27 May 1971) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Baron represented Poland during the 1992 Speedway World Team Cup. He also reached the 1992 Speedway Under-21 World Championship final. He won the silver medal at the Polish Individual Speedway Championship in 2001. Stal Rzeszów is a Polish motorcycle speedway club. The team currently competes in the Polish Speedway Second League (2. Liga) and have won the Team Speedway Polish Championship twice. History 1948 to 1959 The first speedway in Rzeszów was held at the Resovia stadium in 1948. The club made their league debut during the 1949 Polish speedway season under the name RTKM-Gwardia Rzeszów. Roman Alexandrovich Povazhny (Russian: ''Поважный, Роман Александрович''; born October 23, 1976) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider and a former champion of Russia. He earned 21 caps for the Russia national speedway team. Career Povazhny won the Russian national championship in 2001. He started his British leagues career with Eastbourne Eagles and would ride with them for four seasons in 1999, 2001, 2004 and 2007. Inbetween he rode for Oxford Cheetahs during the 2000 season.
