PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 14 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship (). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. The league in its current form was founded in 2000 and was originally known as Polska Liga Siatkówki ''(Polish Volleyball League)''. Projekt Warsaw, officially known as PGE Projekt Warszawa, is a professional men's volleyball club based in Warsaw in central Poland. They compete in the Polish PlusLiga, the top flight of Polish volleyball. The club started as the volleyball section of the University Sports Association of Poland, Academic Sports Association at the Warsaw University of Technology (AZS Politechnika Warszawska) in 1954. In 2005 it was transferred into a separate Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością, limited liability company and it has used various sponsor names since then. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics.
