2005–06 Hamburger SV Season
The 2005–06 season was the 86th season in the existence of Hamburger SV and the club's 43rd consecutive season in the top flight of German football. In addition to the domestic league, Hamburger SV participated in this season's edition of the DFB-Pokal and the UEFA Cup. The season covered the period from 1 July 2005 to 30 June 2006. Bernd Hoffmann
Bernd Paul Hoffmann (born 21 January 1963, Leverkusen) is a German sports official and was Chairman of 2. Bundesliga club Hamburger SV from 2003 to 2011 and from 2018 to 2020. Life Hoffman studied at the University of Cologne and in Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 1989 with a master's degree in Master of Business Administration, Business Administration. He then worked for the sports marketer UFA Sports and later at Sportfive for the marketing of some football clubs in the new federal states. In 1998, UFA Sports also took over the marketing of Hamburger SV. On 16 December 2002, Hoffmanns commitment to HSV was announced. On 1 February 2003 Hoffman was elected to the role of chief executive of HSV with an initial four year contract; this contract was extended in December 2007 to December 2011. Aílton Gonçalves da Silva (born 19 July 1973), also known as Kugelblitz ("Ball lightning", due to his rotund physique and fast running speed), is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a striker. A journeyman, Aílton began his career in Brazil where he played for Ypiranga, Internacional, Mogi Mirim, Santa Cruz, and Guarani. Following a stint with Tigres UANL in Mexico, he moved to Germany joining SV Werder Bremen. Guy Roland Demel (born 13 June 1981) is an Ivorian former professional footballer who played as a defender. He has been assistant coach of the Ivory Coast national football team since January 2024.
