The 2004–05 season was the 73rd season in the existence of FC Metz and the club's second consecutive season in the top flight of Football in France, French football. FC Metz
Football Club de Metz () is a Football in France, French association football club based in Metz, Lorraine. The club was formed in 1932 and plays in Ligue 1, the highest division in the French football league system, for the 2025–26 Ligue 1, 2025–26 season following their promotion from the second division in the 2024–25 Ligue 2, 2024–2025 season. They play their home matches at Stade Saint-Symphorien located within the city. The team is currently managed by Stéphane Le Mignan. Despite never winning the top flight, they have won the Coupe de France twice and the Coupe de la Ligue twice. Stéphane Borbiconi (born March 22 1979, in Villerupt, France) is a French football player. Career Borbiconi began his career with FC Metz who was 1999 promoted to the first team and was loaned out in summer 2001 to FC Martigues. Ludovic Joseph Obraniak (; born 10 November 1984) is a football manager and former professional player. He primarily played as an attacking midfielder. Born in France, he played for the Poland national team. Club career Metz Obraniak began his football career with his local club Metz.
