2004–05 Cypriot Third Division
The 2004–05 Cypriot Third Division was the 34th season of the Cypriot third-level football league. SEK Agiou Athanasiou won their 2nd title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 2004–05 Cypriot Third Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first three teams were promoted to the 2005–06 Cypriot Second Division and the last three teams were relegated to the 2005–06 Cypriot Fourth Division. Point system Teams received three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. Cypriot Third Division
The Cypriot Third Division (Greek language, Greek: Πρωτάθλημα Γ΄ Κατηγορίας) is the third tier Association football, football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division. History The Cypriot Third Division was held for the first time in the 1970–71 Cypriot Third Division, 1970–71 season as the third level of the Cypriot football. All the teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. PAEEK (; short for Ποδοσφαιρική Αθλητική Ένωσις Επαρχίας Κερύνειας, ''Podosfairiki Athlitiki Enosis Eparxeias Kerynias'', translated as "Football and Sport Union of Kyrenia District", literally "Footballing Sportive Union of the District of Kyrenia") is a Cypriot sports club founded in Kyrenia in 1953 by graduates of Kyrenia Gymnasium and represented the first force to be reckoned from the small city. The 2004–05 Cypriot First Division was the 66th season of the Cypriot top-level football league. Anorthosis won their 12th title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 2004–05 Cypriot First Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The last three teams were relegated to the 2005–06 Cypriot Second Division. The champions ensured their participation in the 2005–06 UEFA Champions League and the runners-up in the 2005–06 UEFA Cup. The teams had to declare their interest to participate in the 2005 UEFA Intertoto Cup before the end of the championship. At the end of the championship, the higher placed team among the interested ones participated in the Intertoto Cup (if they had not secured their participation in any other UEFA competition). AEK Kythreas (Greek: ΑΕΚ; ''Aθλητική Ένωση Κυθρεας'', Athlitiki Enosi Kythreas) is a Cypriot football club, formerly based in Kythrea, a village under ''de facto'' control of Northern Cyprus.
