2003–04 United States Network Television Schedule
The following is the 2003–04 network television schedule for the six major English language commercial broadcast networks in the United States. The schedule covers primetime hours from September 2003 through August 2004. The schedule is followed by a list per network of returning series, new series, and series cancelled after the 2002–03 season. All times are Eastern and Pacific, with certain exceptions, such as ''Monday Night Football''. New series are highlighted in bold. List Of United States Over-the-air Television Networks
In the United States, for most of the history of broadcasting, there were only three or four major commercial national Terrestrial television, terrestrial television network, networks. From 1946 to 1956, these were American Broadcasting Company, ABC, CBS, NBC and DuMont Television Network, DuMont. From 1956 to 1986, the "Big Three television networks, Big Three" national commercial networks were ABC, CBS, and NBC (with a few limited attempts to challenge them, such as National Telefilm Associates's NTA Film Network, the Overmyer Network, & even DuMont shareholder Paramount Pictures's Paramount Television Network). ''Cold Case'' is an American police procedural crime drama television series. It ran on CBS from September 28, 2003, to May 2, 2010. The series revolved around a fictionalized Philadelphia Police Department division that specializes in investigating cold cases, usually homicides. Premise The show is set in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and it follows Detective Lilly Rush ( Kathryn Morris), a homicide detective with the Philadelphia Police Department, who specializes in cold cases, or investigations which are no longer being actively pursued by the department. ''The Casino'' is an American reality television series broadcast on the Fox network in 2004 which followed two dot-com millionaires, Thomas Breitling and Tim Poster, as they manage the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, located in downtown Las Vegas instead of the more popular Las Vegas Strip. The show was created by Mark Burnett, the creator of ''Survivor''. It was canceled shortly before the last three episodes of the series could be broadcast due to dismal ratings. However, sister station Fox Reality Channel picked up ''The Casino'' and broadcast the unaired episodes and then ran the series in re-runs until its cancellation from that network. ''Quintuplets'' is an American television sitcom that aired 22 episodes on Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox from June 16, 2004, to January 12, 2005. The program starred Andy Richter and Rebecca Creskoff and shared some of their experiences parenting teenage quintuplets. Synopsis The series is set in Nutley, New Jersey, and looks like a typical family sitcom. Much of the storyline focuses on the difficulty of supporting a large family of teens, both financially and emotionally, as they grapple with the reality that they are no longer as cute as when they were babies. The house is a typical three-bedroom family home. The three male siblings share a room with bunk beds while the two females share another room. ''The Simple Life'' is an American reality television series starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. It depicts the two wealthy socialites, as they struggle to do menial, low-paying jobs such as cleaning rooms, farm work, serving meals in fast-food restaurants, and working as camp counselors. The series premiered on December 2nd 2003, on Fox, and concluded on August 5, 2007, on E!.
