Donar, also known as Donar Groningen, is a professional basketball club based in Groningen (city), Groningen, Netherlands. The club competes in the BNXT League and its home arena is MartiniPlaza, which has a seating capacity of 4,350 people. Founded in 1951, Donar is one of the traditional first division clubs along with Heroes Den Bosch, Den Bosch, as it entered the league years ago. The club won the List of Dutch basketball champions, Dutch national championship seven times, seven NBB Cup, Dutch Cups and three Dutch Basketball Supercup, Dutch Supercups. Otis Loyd
Otis Loyd (1950 – 2022) was an American basketball coach and professional basketball player. Career A Brooklyn native, Loyd played basketball at the City College of New York. He started his professional career in 1974 in Helsingborg, Sweden, where he played for local club IFK. He spent two years there, then moved to Lugi Basketbollklubb in Lund, Sweden, for one year. Loyd returned to Helsingborg for another year and then went back to the United States to finish his college degree. During the 1979–80 season he played in Sweden again, this time with Malbas BBK in the city of Malmö. In 1980–81, he served as Malbas' player-coach. Loyd joined BMS Skovlunde of Denmark for the 1981–82 season, where he served as player-coach, while at the same time coaching the women's team. Bergen op Zoom (; called ''Berrege'' in the Brabantian dialect, local dialect) is a List of cities in the Netherlands by province, city and Municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality in southwestern Netherlands. Arik Shivek
Arik Shivek (; born 10 September 1956) is an Israeli professional basketball coach. He is the head coach of the Netherlands national basketball team. Shivek is also the former head coach of the senior Israeli national basketball team, serving from 2009 to 2014, succeeding Zvi Sherf. Amsterdam Basketball was a Dutch professional basketball club from the city of Amsterdam, established in 1995 and dissolved in 2011. Den Helder () is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Den Helder occupies the northernmost point of the North Holland peninsula. Almere Pioneers
Almere Pioneers is a Dutch amateur basketball team based in Almere. The team plays in the Promotiedivisie, the Dutch second tier league. History The club was founded in 1999 as a professional basketball club named BC Omniworld Almere and participated in the top-tier Eredivisie. The team played its home games in the Topsportcentrum Almere. The 2002–03 season was the best season in Almere's history, as the team reached the Eredivisie finals.
