2002–03 Middlesbrough F.C. Season
During the 2002–03 season, Middlesbrough participated in the FA Premier League. Kit Middlesbrough had a new sponsor, Dial-a-Phone, for the 2002–03 season. The team's kit was produced by Errea. The home shirt consisted of a plain red shirt, red shorts and red socks with white trim. The away strip consisted of white shirts with black piping, plain white shorts and white socks with navy blue trim. Season review Despite losing the new £6 million signing of the returning Juninho, Boro made a promising start to the 2002–03 season, peaking at third in early October. The signings of Maccarone and Boateng, along with the loan of Geremi, gave the fans real hope of a top-six finish. Middlesbrough ( ), colloquially known as Boro, is a port town in the Borough of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. Geremi
Geremi Sorele Njitap Fotso (born 20 December 1978), known simply as Geremi, is a Cameroonian former professional footballer. He was a versatile player able to play at right back, right midfield or defensive midfielder, known for his power, pace, combative style and free-kick ability. The most successful periods of Geremi's club career came at Real Madrid and Chelsea, winning the UEFA Champions League with the first and domestic honours with the latter. Geremi earned 118 caps for Cameroon from 1996 to 2010, scoring 13 goals. He was a member of their squad for seven Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, winning in 2000 and 2002, as well as the World Cup in 2002 and 2010 and a gold medal at the 2000 Olympics. Franck Queudrue
Franck Roger Queudrue (born 27 August 1978) is a French former professional footballer who played as a left back. He began his career with Lens, for whom he played in Ligue 1, and went on to play in the Premier League for Middlesbrough, Fulham and Birmingham City, and in the Football League for Colchester United. He returned to Lens in 2010, and joined Red Star on a free transfer in 2012. Queudrue retired at the end of the 2012–13 season. Queudrue played one match for France at B international level, and considered playing for the Republic of Ireland until being deemed ineligible by FIFA to play for them. Robbie Stockdale
Robert Keith Stockdale (born 30 November 1979) is a football manager and former professional footballer. As a player, he was a defender from 1997 to 2012. He notably played Premier League football for Middlesbrough having also appeared as a professional for Sheffield Wednesday, West Ham United, Rotherham United, Hull City, Darlington and Tranmere Rovers before joining Grimsby Town in 2008. Stockdale won five international caps for Scotland, all in 2002. Towards the end of his playing career, he became Grimsby's youth team manager and briefly served as caretaker manager. He held this position until 2012 where he took up a similar role with Sunderland. He subsequently moved up to coaching the first team and managed the club three times on a caretaker basis, before he left Sunderland in 2018. Mark Schwarzer ( , ; born 6 October 1972) is an Australian former professional football player who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. He represented Australia men's national soccer team, Australia at international level from 1993 to 2013, and was selected for both the 2006 FIFA World Cup, 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup, 2010 FIFA World Cups.
