Futsal In Spain
The Spanish futsal league is divided into divisions. The top teams play in the ''División de Honor'' (also called ''Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala''). In each division, a team plays all other teams twice, once at home and once away. The Spanish league teams compete in Europe under UEFA, most notably in the UEFA Futsal Cup with great success, being the national league holding more continental titles. The teams also compete in a domestic cup competition each year, called the Copa del Rey. The winner of the División de Honor plays against the winner of the Copa del Rey in the ''Supercopa de España'' (Super Cup). Vander Carioca
Vander dos Santos Ferreira (born 22 June 1976), better known as Vander Carioca, is a Brazilian retired professional futsal player who played as a forward. Career Considered one of the greatest pivots of all time in Brazilian futsal, Vander Carioca came to play in America youth categories. In futsal, he began his career at Wimpro/Guarulhos, and played for countless Brazilian futsal clubs, in one of the longest careers in the category. He won the Brazilian National Futsal League twice, in 2000 with Vasco da Gama and 2016 with Corinthians, in addition to a Spanish title with Playas de Castellón in 2000–01. Carioca was also part of the Brazil futsal team squads that played in the 2000 and 2004 FIFA Futsal World Cup, being runner-up in 2000 and third place in 2004, in addition to two Copa América titles. Futsal Cartagena is a futsal club based in Cartagena, a city in the autonomous community of Region of Murcia. The club was founded in 1993 and held its home matches in Palacio de los Deportes, which has a capacity of 5162 persons. History Fútbol Sala Cartagena was founded in 1993 as Mínguez Sáez Cartagena. Peinsa sponsorship fall The club was sponsored for Peinsa until January, 2009. Peinsa was a company dedicated to housings promotions that in January went bankrupt. Carnicer Torrejón Fútbol Sala was a futsal club based in Torrejón de Ardoz, city in the autonomous community of Community of Madrid. The club was founded in 1985 and its arena is Pabellón Jorge Garbajosa with capacity of 4,500 seaters. History Before 2012–13 season, the club was excluded of Primera División due to failing to meet the financial criteria of LNFS being relegated next season to Segunda División. In June 2013, the team was relegated another division for failing to meet financial criteria of LNFS, dropping to Segunda División B.
