The 2002 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship was the 31st annual NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship, tournament held by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA to determine the top men's NCAA Division II, Division II College soccer in the United States, college soccer program in the United States. On the strength of three 2nd half goals Sonoma State Seawolves, Sonoma State (19-3-1) defeated Southern New Hampshire University, Southern New Hampshire in the tournament final, 4–3. This was the first national title for the Seawolves, who were coached by Marcus Ziemer. NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship
The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship is the annual tournament held by the NCAA to determine the top men's Division II college soccer program in the United States. It has been played annually since 1972; prior to then, all teams competed in a single class. The most successful program has been Southern Connecticut State, with six national titles. The current champion are Franklin Pierce, who won their first national title in 2022, defeating CSU Pueblo, 2–0, in the final. Format The Division II tournament is structured around four unbalanced Super Regionals from the eight NCAA regions (Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast, and West). Southern Connecticut Fighting Owls
The Southern Connecticut Owls (also Southern Connecticut State Owls and SCSU Owls) are the athletic teams that represent Southern Connecticut State University, located in New Haven, Connecticut, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship is an annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III collegiate men's soccer in the United States. The NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament, sometimes known as the College Cup, is an American intercollegiate soccer tournament conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and determines the Division I men's national champion. The tournament has been formally held since 1959, when it was an eight-team tournament. Since then, the tournament has expanded to 48 teams, in which every Division I conference tournament champion is allocated a berth. The Virginia Beach Sportsplex is a sports complex in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The name is most commonly attached to the main stadium within the complex, which opened in 1999. It has a permanent seating capacity of 6,000, on two decks of seating, though it can be expanded upwards to 17,000 for American football games. It was the first soccer-specific stadium built from the ground up in the United States. Anthony Augustine (born September 26, 1980) is a retired Grenadian footballer. Career College and amateur Augustine came to the United States in 2000 to play college soccer at Southern New Hampshire University. While at SNHU Augustine was named to the NSCAA All-New England second team and the ALL NE-10 team in 2002 and 2003. Rockhurst University is a private Jesuit university in Kansas City, Missouri. Founded in 1910 as Rockhurst College, Rockhurst University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
