The 2000 Peruvian Segunda División, the second division of Peruvian football (soccer), was played by 13 teams. The tournament winner, Aviación-FAP was promoted to the Playoff. The Peruvian Second Division (; known simply as ''Second Division'', and Liga 2 Caja Cusco for sponsorship reasons), officially known as Liga 2, is the second-highest division in the Peruvian football league system. Founded in 1943, it is a professional and promotional division organized by the Peruvian Football Federation. Since 2025, it has been contested by 15 teams, with promotion to the Peruvian Primera División, Liga 1, and relegation to the Peruvian Tercera División, Liga 3. Rímac District
Rímac (pronunciation: ), known until the 19th century as the neighbourhood of San Lázaro, is a district in the Lima Province, Peru. It lies directly to the north of downtown Lima, to which it is connected by six bridges over the Rímac River. History Sport Coopsol was founded in 2000 when business group "Grupo Cooperativa Solar (Coopsol)" acquired the club Telefunken 20, which last played in the 1999 Segunda División Peruana season. Lawn Tennis is a Peruvian sports club, playing in the city of Lima, Peru. History Lawn Tennis was founded on June 27, 1884, by a group of English immigrants, and had Juan P. Gallagher Gibbs as their first chairman. Its original headquarters were in the Parque de la Exposición, but it later moved to the Jesús María district in the early 20th century.
