1998 King Hassan II International Cup Tournament
The King Hassan II International Cup Tournament was a minor international football competition, which took place in the spring of 1998 in Morocco. Host nation Morocco, France, England and Belgium participated in the tournament, and matches took place at the Stade Mohamed V, home of Moroccan clubs Raja Casablanca and Wydad Casablanca. This mini-tournament was arranged as a preparatory exercise for the participating teams of the 1998 FIFA World Cup, taking place two weeks before the tournament, and it was won by France on the basis of having scored more goals. Salaheddine Bassir
Salaheddine Bassir ( ar, صلاح الدين بصير; born 5 September 1972) is a Moroccan former professional association football, footballer who played as a striker (association football), striker. He played for a few clubs, including Raja Casablanca, Al-Hilal FC, Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia) and Deportivo La Coruña in Spain with whom he won la liga and copa del rey. He then played for OSC Lille (France) and Aris Thessaloniki F.C., Aris Thessaloniki (Greece). He retired at the end of 2005 season. Vincenzo "Enzo" Daniele Scifo (; born 19 February 1966) is a retired Belgian football midfielder. He has also managed the Belgium national under-21 football team and several Belgian club sides. Vital Philomene Borkelmans (born 10 June 1963) is a Belgian football coach and a former left fullback who mainly played for Club Brugge (350 matches with that club), in the Belgian First Division.
