Interliga (1999–2007)
The Interliga (', ') was an international professional ice hockey league which existed between 1999 and 2007. It was formed in 1999 to replace the Alpine League after Hungarian teams took over the Italian contingency and the base of the league shifted away from the Alps. EC VSV
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV are an ice hockey team in the ICE Hockey League. They play their home games at Stadthalle (capacity approximately 4,500 spectators) in Villach, Austria. The team colors are blue and white. Their mascot is an eagle - Villach's coat of arms represents an eagle's claw. History By winning the second divisions title in the 1976–77 season EC VSV gained automatic promotion to Austria's highest league and has tenured since. Following rival team, EC KAC, Villacher is the second oldest club in the EBEL. Although the team finished last in their debut season at the top level (a primary reason why head coach Karol Havasi was replaced by player-coach Ryan D'Arcy by the end of the season), some of their young players, led by Leo Sivec, already showed good promise. EC KAC
Klagenfurt Athletic Sports Club or EC KAC () is an Austrian professional ice hockey team in the ICE Hockey League. The team plays their home games in Klagenfurt, Carinthia, Austria at Stadthalle. EC KAC has won the most Austrian ice hockey Championships, a total of 32 times including 11 consecutive titles from 1964 to 1974, and four consecutive from 1985 to 1988. Most recently they won it in 2021. History The Klagenfurt Athletic Sports Club was founded on 18 September 1909 as an association. In 1919 the first attempts to establish an ice hockey team were trialled with an initial two-year apprenticeship from 1923 to 1925, before hockey was established as a full-fledged association in 1926. VEU Feldkirch is a professional ice hockey team from Feldkirch, Austria. The team currently plays in the Ö Eishockey Liga. They play their home games At Vorarlberghalle. HDD Olimpija Ljubljana
Hokejsko drsalno društvo Olimpija Ljubljana, commonly referred to as HDD Olimpija or simply Olimpija, was a Slovenian professional ice hockey club from Ljubljana. They played their home games at the Tivoli Hall. Olimpija has won 13 Yugoslav Ice Hockey League, Yugoslav championships and 15 Slovenian Ice Hockey League, Slovenian championships. They won ten consecutive titles between 1995 and 2004. History The club was founded in 1928 as SK Ilirija. It was the first club on the territory of Yugoslavia to play organized ice hockey under the Canadian rules. Hokejski klub Acroni Jesenice (), commonly referred to as HK Acroni Jesenice or simply Jesenice, was a Slovenian ice hockey team from Jesenice that last played in the Austrian Erste Bank Hockey League and the Slovenian Ice Hockey League. InterLiga was an association football competition and the qualification method between eight Mexican clubs to determine two clubs qualified for the Copa Libertadores, it was held from 2004 to 2010. History From 1998 to 2003, the Mexican clubs competed in the Pre-Libertadores tournament as its qualification method, which consisted in two rounds. The first round called Selectivo Pre Pre-Libertadores was played between Mexican clubs, two clubs advanced to the next round called Liguilla Pre-Libertadores against two clubs from Venezuela, the four clubs faced each other to determine the last two spots for the Copa Libertadores. In 2004, Mexico and Venezuela were granted automatic entries to the Copa Libertadores for the first time. The FMF decided to create a national qualifying tournament for its last two spots, and the first InterLiga was held that January in the United States, during the off-season of the Primera División.
