1999–2000 Cypriot Second Division
The 1999–2000 Cypriot Second Division was the 45th season of the Cypriot second-level Association football, football league. Digenis Akritas Morphou FC, Digenis won their 2nd title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 1999–2000 Cypriot Second Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first three teams were promoted to 2000–01 Cypriot First Division and the last three teams were relegated to the 2000–01 Cypriot Third Division. However, in the summer, after the end of the championship, Evagoras Paphos merged with APOP Paphos FC, APOP Paphos to form AEP Paphos F.C., AEP Paphos (AEP took the place of APOP to 2000–01 Cypriot First Division). Cypriot Second Division
The Cypriot Second Division () is the second highest association football, football division of the Cypriot football league system. Administered by the Cyprus Football Association, it is contested by 16 teams, with the top three teams being Promotion and relegation, promoted to the Cypriot First Division and the last three teams being Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Cypriot Third Division. History The Cypriot Second Division started unofficially the 1934–35 football season as the second level of the Cypriot football (Cyprus Football Association founded in 1934). The competition consisted of teams that didn't participate in Cypriot First Division and the reserve teams of the Cypriot First Division clubs. Anagennisi Deryneia FC
Anagennisi Deryneia () is a Cypriot football team based in Deryneia, Famagusta. The club was founded in 1920 and they joined the Cyprus Football Association in 1972. The team played in the Cypriot First division in 2011 but was relegated at the end of the season. It has participated in the first and second divisions and Cypriot Third Division in the past. The club also maintains a volleyball team, which is currently playing in the Second Division, having lifted the Cypriot Cup trophy twice in the past. Athletic Union of Zakaki () is a Cyprus, Cypriot association football, football club based in Zakaki, Limassol. The club was founded in 1956. Their colours are green and white and they play at Zakaki Municipal Stadium, but are currently playing at the larger Ammochostos Stadium in Larnaca. The club was founded in 1978 and was named after the ancient Cypriot revolutionary Onesilus. Ermis Aradippou () is a Cypriot professional football club based in Aradippou, a settlement on the outskirts of the city of Larnaca. The club was formed in 1958, and currently plays in the Cypriot Third Division. Ermis' greatest success came in 2014, when they won the Super Cup. Ermis have a long-standing rivalry with their neighbouring club Omonia Aradippou.
